All of these games and you still haven't learned.
The Nocturnal Detective is the detective that investigates during the Day.
It has been used in one (1) public mafia game to my knowledge.
It has been commonly used in Chat Mafia, and every time it has, it's been the day detective.

Even then, you're scum hunting on Day one at RuneVillage, which is notorious for spam, as You pointed out on page one.

What, so when I join the spamfest, I get yelled at?
Also, how is a detective that investigates during the day nocturnal? I'd accept that if he investigated during the day and voted at night, but both during the day would be a diurnal detective.

This is rationalized by the normal detective in mafia working at night.
At any rate, a differently named detective (aside from insane) is bound to work at a different time of the day.
Also, there were no implications of you joining in on the spam fest, your post had the tone of legitimate scumhunting in illegitimate posts.

Also, if you were just joining in on the fun, way to be a hypocrite.

A side note: I'm the Picky Nocturnal Detective. I can only investigate on even numbered days. Tomorrow I'll likely investigate Jackstick and catch him doing mafia stuff, so just a heads up.
