EDIT2: Updated the databases so they're ready for version 3.0.2. I checked and there's no big changes that will affect us too much, so I already went ahead. Tomorrow I'll commence testing of the actual files which will add two features, one for mods, one for admins: easier access to the ban feature and the ability to just log out of the Administration Panel.

There'll soon also be a present for the regular users if I get everything working. Can't promise anything though.

Expect the board to be closed in about an hour.
EDIT: the forum's upgrade has been completed. I'm expecting some problems here and there even while I checked it all quite well. The most obvious one I'm noticing now is the lack of "boldness" of the moderator groups on the index >_< If there's anything else, please mention it here :)

It's a strange story, but it appeared half of our forum was still running as version 3.0.0 instead of 3.0.1 (which the forum thinks it really is).

I've been going through all the files looking which version they are and manually made the changes to our parallel forum we use for testing. By working this way I can more or less guarantee that there won't be any serious issues. All in all I think it should only take 5 minutes (I'll prepare well) and hopefully you won't notice too much (apart from the board being closed for that period of time).

If I notice that things aren't going too well I'll immediately use my back-ups to restore everything.

Afterwards I'll start working on the upgrade to 3.0.2 which I'll also be doing manually for security sake. But that's none of your worries ^_^;

To any administrators that would be able to log in even when the board is closed: please don't. The new version improves the password security which results in no longer being able to log in if I'd have to revert for a reason. I'm currently already stuck in that situation and it's still bearable, but not all too fun. Just being online while it's closed (without having to log in) is fine though.

Once in a while you make a brilliant post Znath. This is one of those brilliant posts.

Also, RV seems to be a little slow for me. Is it just me?

I concur. We must lynch him now for the sake of the metagame, we MUST teach people that they can't go around claiming "anniversary" and expect leniency. Topsummoner.

Happens when you POST A REPLY (not editing) and is displayed when you get the "you message has been posted" message, before it redirects you.

Runevillage the forum is pretty well much done. Runevillage the group will eventually die, but as long as we're still friends with each other in the end, it's still a pretty big thought in our heads.
