Corporeal Beast Slaying Guide

Note: This is a very dangerous Monster, do not bring anything you are not prepared to lose

Requirements:
Requirements vary wildly for this monster depending on your team.

5-10:
90+ Hitpoints.
85+ Combats
75+ Prayer.
90+ Ranged.

10-20
80+ Hitpoints.
80+ Combats
60+ Prayer.
70+ Ranged.

Anything more and realistically you could turn up with low 70 combats and 70's HP and perhaps do some damage and you won't die like you might in the God Wars Dungeon or Queen Kalphite but you will also do little to help you team.

Other Requirements:
Decent Equipment
Prayer potions
High End Food
Completetion of "Summer's End"

The Beast
Image

Combat level: 785
Hitpoints: 2,000
Aggressive? Yes
Poisonous? No
Poisonable? No
Attack style: Melee, Magic (unconfirmed)
Max hit: 51 -Melee, 65 - Magic, 30+ Splash
Weakness: Stab, Ruby Bolts
Examine: A vision of supernatural horror

Image

Location
The Beast is located in the cavern you fought it in during the "Summer's End" Quest.
[map]
The Quickest way to get to the beast is to use a games necklace teleport to Bounty Hunter, from here run east and then north to the cavern.

Once in the cavern simply head east through the first ands second caverns. The third passage will lead you to the Beast. Keep protect from magic on at all times you are fighting the beast.

Equipment

Melee:
The Beast regularly attacks with magic, alot less with melee, the optimum gear is thus:
[pic]
Black dragon body and legs
Neitzot helmet
Barrows Gloves
Dragon Boots
Fury
Wealth / Berzerker ring
Zamorak Spear / Dragon Spear / Dragon Long (stab) - rune defender
Fire Cape

In regard to weapons the Z-Spear has become hugely popular and is the iconic weapon now, however it only has 85 stab, compared to the 78 provided by the dragon long paired with a rune defender and therefore this combonation is a valid alterntive to those not wishing to spend 5mil +. It may even be better factoring in speed.

Range:
Black dragon body and legs
Archer Helm
Barrows Gloves
Ranger Boots
Fury
Wealth / Ranger ring
Rune Cross bow / Crystal bow
Ruby Bolts
Fire Cape

Ruby bolts are the best bolts to start with as they will hit a maximum of 100 when the special, once the beast is on a lower health alternative bolts may be preferable.

Obviously a lower quality of gear is fine, i regularly went with only 3 expensive items and black dragon hide and still achieved kills.

Inventory:
6 Saradonim Brews (optional)
6 Prayer Potions
Alot of sharks of high end food
Emergency Teleport

Cannons can be useful although expensive

NOTE!!! Do not bring summons, the monster will devour them and replenish its health

Tactics

When you team is ready all of you pile in with mage protect on, the warriors should form a tight ring around the beast while the archers spread out in a larger ring.

The beast will target one person at a time, if you are targeted run towards the beast and under it to break its lock. DO NOT try to withstand the attack, it will kill you hitting multiple 30+'s. Occasionally the beast will release a dark core, (like those in the quest), it will attack players and the damage it does will replenish the beasts HP so it is a high priority for you to kill them.

A map for this guide, and Summer's End quest guide:
Image

About safe spot during quest: first lure the beast towards exit, then run to safe spot. You can now safely cut 15 logs required,
before going to set up the pyres.

Also missing from temp. quest guide: there is a skeleton right near exit, which you can search for mithril axe, bronze pickaxe, and spade.

Hmm, I've yet to finish the quest, so I'm not all too knowledgeable about it. Would you mind stating which step that should be contained in? :)

It's at step 3. in temp. Summer's End guide. In real world, where you need to collapse the cave. Well, you can enter cave first,
and there's a searchable skeleton right there, marked on map too. You get bronze pickaxe, mith axe and spade here, so it is not
required to have those items ready before the quest. Oh, almost forgot, you also find a tinderbox on the skeleton...

Looks good, but I'd swap couple of sentences. Search first, collapse later :)

Quote:
If you head north you will see a cave which is closed off. Return to the normal world, and you find a cave in same place,
which is open. Upon entering, search the nearby skeleton to get bronze pickaxe, mithril axe, spade and a tinderbox - keep
these! Now exit again and "collapse" the cave by selecting the right click option with your pickaxe either equipped or in your
inventory. Then then return to the other realm by operating jennica's ring on the portal.

Might want to include a warning: Do not attempt to kill this beast alone. It is currently impossible.

Wait wait wait!!!!!!!

Put in the guide that, Gravestones do not appear on death in side the area where you fight the beast. When you die, you only get 120 seconds to retrieve you items. No gravestones.
