This just caught my eye as I scrolled down through the forum. The Unread Messages icon on RuneVillage News & Announcements flashes. o_o

Has this always been like this and I am seriously going crazy, or is it a recent update? *mumbles about locked and moved topics.*

EDIT: Woah, my "How Can I Help Runevillage" topic got it's own redirect link in RV Announcements. o_o

Now I feel loved. <3 XD

I'm pretty sure it has always been like that for topics that are popular and have a lot of posts, lol.

That was a great idea. O_o

Kudos Henner.

Gamey, now that it's slightly more publicized, perhaps you could add in sections? Like how to submit information to the Items and Monster Databases, how to submit a guide, an article for The Villager, etc. Now that it's seen more publicly, it could do a lot of good. (Well, even more than it currently does.)

To help the site, you had to navigate all the way to the bottom of the index, searching for a submission forum. Now that it's linked to in the first forum at the top of the index, it can be seen a lot easier by newcomers, or people wanting to submit information but not knowing how to go about it.

This seems like a great solution to the problem, where the only solution before was thought to be moving the forum. :)

Perhaps we could even take it farther, as I said in my above post, make the post more comprehensive, but we could also maybe make the redirect more eye-catching, maybe add an item to the forum title. (If possible.) Or something. To be honest, we need all the help we can get, and it would be a shame to lose 'helpers' because they don't know how to lend their invaluable assistance.

Ahh I thought you were talking about the flashing button, not the link ^_^;

I would of rather seen it as a main forum catergory link (with the Forum Rules and Village Values)

Runevillage the forum is pretty well much done. Runevillage the group will eventually die, but as long as we're still friends with each other in the end, it's still a pretty big thought in our heads. Runevillage the family is forever, no matter where we settle down. If absolutely nothing else ever comes of Runevillage in the future, that alone is a pretty damn awesome thought.

I keep clicking on the exclamation mark.

(for the ones who don't know, that's also the sign that a post is reported to a moderator, and thus needs handling)

In my opinion, it looks terrific Gamestar. Very well done on that. The only thing I'd tweak would be, after the Maps section, to add another bold divider, something such as "In Conclusion" or "End" as it looks like that is all in regards to Maps. :P

Done ~ Gamey

I have to agree with Elanthiel. It's a large enough announcement that I don't think the ! is required, nor is the smiley. That should be fairly easy to see.

But once again, I love the idea. Kudos on this one, Henner. :)
