After a long while of curiously being unsubscribed from topics, I've figured it out.
If you're subscribed to a topic and use quick-reply, it removes your subscription.
You may all get on your knees now. To kiss my feet, of course. Because I'm just a king of logic.

Pretty much what I feared was going to happen.

I could either choose to always make you subscribe to the topic or never. I chose the "never" for understandable reasons.

Well when you're posting regularly, the server remembers if you're subscribed or not for the check box. Why not implement some way for the quick reply to function the same? You could probably snip and edit existing code.

Checking the new checkbox...

EDIT: yep. It works. I'll now try to find out whether it's possible to have it checked in advance depending on whether you are already subscribed or not.

Bout to post that lol :P.

Be better if it fit in perfectly and didn't have the brownish cream around it.

Psst, Glode. Would it be possible to add a 'Lock Topic' options for Moderators? It's the only thing I miss from post reply.

(Same checkbox concept.)

I didn't understand what you were talking about at first, until I looked at IE >_<

Fixed that now.

I've included something that according to the code should add a check when you have set to automatically subscribe to topics each time you post. Checking whether it's true right now... EDIT: yep. That works.

Donut... Check out the Quick-mod tools three lines below the Quick Reply. First option: Lock topic :-s
Or wait... You want both actions to be done at the same time? Hmm... I just fear that I'm going to add too many jingles and bells to the Quick Reply. I might just even replace the checkbox I just added with a hidden option seeing people most likely don't want to change that a lot...

Thanks, but yes, in post reply you can submit the post and lock the topic at the same time. But it's alright, I understand your point. :)

Checking the new checkbox (only available to those with locking powers normally speaking)

EDIT: success!

Not necessarily, because you may wish to subscribe to a topic, IE get notifications, but not actually post. I know I have subscribed to a few Staff Forums that I run so I know what happens and when.
