I have no clue as to why, but I logged on the forum today and to my surprise (horror) this was what I got an eye full of. Clearing of the cookies/caches lead to immediate sanity, however have any of you seen something as outlandish or horrible as this?

That's what happens when images are incorrectly loaded in your browser. That used to happen to me sometimes when I enabled pipelining in Firefox. A quicker solution for you would've been to just use Ctrl + F5.
