The newly-released lending system has turned RV Lounge into a spamfest of people asking to lend godswords, and people offering to lend items for certain fees per hour (which are trust trades and against the rules as stated by a mod on the official forums). Also stated by said mod, the lend system is a system for friends to help each other out, not a system for begging. It's annoying, disruptive, and even worse it's constant.

So I suggest that it become against the rules of the rv lounge to request or offer lendings. People can do that in private or not at all, don't spam up the lounge!

Something new came out reggie. Something that allows people to lend items from other people. So it's not the same as trading. There is a limit of lending out just one item though (or that's what I heard at least).

I don't think there is a need to create a rule exclusively for item lending, especially because it is a fair feature of runescape, and some people are able to discuss it without being complete noobs like user1. The same could be said about trading. It's ok to ask for trades in the RV Lounge, but constantly spamming and begging would fall under the spam rule. If a user is able to discuss or request item lending without causing problems, then it's fine. But if they spam and simply don't shut the hell up, then chances are they will be punished.

I just don't feel like it would be fair to completely ban item lending requests. Remember, item lending is still a new feature, so a lot of people are still foaming at the mouth to borrow valuable items. Give it a week or so and they'll relax.

Also remember that this has *just* come out. We saw this sort of attitude the week following Quick Chat comming out. When I logged on then I was bombarded by Quick Chat Lounge messages - but now I barely see any.
Maybe it will die down. No need to create a rule if it is just a new fad that people want to try out.

It should fall under spam if it is spam, but a single request or single offer to rent is not spam and perfectly legal.
