It's been a week and you're leaving us?

As people have said, this IS the internet and you're gonna find people who judge at the drop of a hat and you seem like a nice enough girl you just need to realise there are people like that and ignore it.
Trust me, for the people who are nice enough to keep you here... they'll make you decide that it's a nice place to be, albeit not what it was but still a place for people to come and just talk to other people like themselves. A week is definitely not long enough, stay for a bit longer and then make your decision but trust me... give it a chance, open your head and heart and just accept that there are people who can say anything but just use it as an excuse to make yourself a better person and ignore it.

Hi. I don't know you, but I share your pain. Well, shared. I'm sort of inactive.

BUT. This is runevillage. You are a female. You are a minority here. It is a runescape based forum; therefore some people will act like immature little children. Heck, a great majority of people on the village are quite young. When I first came to the forum I was 12 and started playing the game I was... 10. (This was before the 13 years rule but I'm banned now, who cares ?) A lot of the people said things that really made me feel.. well... less of a person. In specific, guys would pressure me to show them how I look like in real life. Others, they wouldn't even believe that I was a girl, or just assume that I was an "ugly fat nerd." All you need to do is ignore it. Sure its easier said then done, and it will take some getting used to. Just try and be genuinely friendly, rather than try and be friends with everyone (like... that sounds really confusing. It sounds like it makes sense in my head but it probably doesn't for you) . Keep in mind, you have no reason to defend yourself, or prove anything. Just be yourself

Yes this is the internet but people should still be nice to those who are new to places like forums, sites, ect or at least try to make an effort to be nice to anyone, people who are and have been on a long time.

You all have been here a very long time, and probably those who were new have joined in the past gave you all trouble but like I said its not everybody..and seeing that i'm a new person who is talking for myself and hearing that since i'm new I shouldn't have a picture up, that also tells me new people shouldn't have rights and saying a new person can't make friends in a day or 2, or saying a new person is going get banned or in (my case want to leave), But its wrong I met some really nice people here who are on my side about this and then there are some who say to stay away from me i'm evil and i'm bad person and think everyone is attacking me and i'm an attention seeker..

I'm not any of those..you just haven't gave me chance, after all you say i'm a new person (yes i'm a new person) but i meant like you say new people are like this, or shouldn't get to do that..

But guys..you got to realize you all were probably new to something too, weren't you?

And to be honest i'm glad people have my back when they tell me there, there for me. Also.. If I get banned for saying this to people like Frem who are trying to make me mad, by putting a video up that is saying "you'll be back soon, seeing you have not left yet" Not very nice. and probably wants me to go now.. which makes sense why she probably put that..Its kinda sad when a new person is treated like this or is afraid to even LOG IN when knowing they will somehow or someway get something heard about them or have comments like that. And i'm yet to see other new people who have been ran out as i have..

Once again.. i'm speaking for myself..since alot of others seem to think they can talk about me too..

And if i am banned for starting anything I understand, but i just want people to know new people should have the same rights as anyone else and for everyone to stop being like this to eachother and expecially to me..since i did hear theres people here who are treated worse. And telling those who don't like me because I used poor grammar meaning "caps" or anyother reason.

No, really, don't leave. Just because someone offends you or anything doesn't mean you're not wanted by the whole place I'm not really sure what really happened here, if anyone could fill me in perhaps?

Katey, I know we got off on the wrong foot and I apologised for that, but what you have done afterwards is unacceptable.

You have made a huge drama with this post, a drama that need not have happened when you obviously had no intention of leaving. You have been here just about a week and I think there has been more drama centered around you in that short time than most other forum users have had in their time here. You have to understand that some things on the internet are said in jest, they aren't meant to cause harm, but you over-react on everything that happens to you.

You say you had trouble in both the chat and the rv lounge, these are completely different groups of people, most of the regulars in chat don't visit the lounge, when the same problem happens in two areas and the only thing linking them is yourself then I think you need to reconsider who you are blaming. Yes sometimes we don't like new users, but there are often reasons for that, many other new users we have welcomed warmly, you can ask any of the others you see in lumbridge lounge.

What you will find with rv is if you give them something, they will bite, if you continue to give them things they will continue to bite, its not right I agree, but its what happens. I know a number of users have explained to you why your behaviour is getting these reactions but you don't seem willing to adjust it, it takes both parties inputting to have an arguement.

By the way, I heard you are interested in becoming a moderator, this is the correct procedure: http://www.runevillage.com/ThePub/viewt ... 2&t=123083 asking existing moderators to go out with you isn't the way to do it.

I believe my gut instinct was right about you.
