This is somewhat common, usually it corrects itself after a couple minutes from what I've seen, but five hours you say? O_o

im going to go out on a limb and say the server was down for some unscheduled maintenance...it happens..

yes.. there was some maintenance on the server yesterday--- actually there is often some maintenance of which you may not be aware--- we don't usually announce it unless it will likely affect service-- which this shouldn't have....

they were working on the mail server, and then Glodenox reported an FTP problem, which was fixed, and then they went back to the mail server work-- however, in fixing the mail server, they had to change the IP#-- often this will cause an outage, but only for a few minutes, because we have our own name server--- (don't know if any of you have ever noticed, but our DNS is thevillagehost.com, a 'hiker company')

anyway, that was the likely cause-- perhaps there are some mirrors of that server that had to propagate as well....
