Hey everyone! I apologize I have not really been around very much at all this year. This year has been extremely rough of me and I have sat and debated life many times. I just wanted to get this all out in the open for y'all.

My year started out with my husband and I having a rough time due to a miscarriage. He was able to stay for a while with me, but then had to go back oversees for duty. He returned a few months later due to my aunt being killed in April in an ATV accident. At this point he was restationed to Arizona...closer to home at least.

I celebrated my college graduation, my sisters and I threw my parents a surprise 40th wedding anniversary, I started working again, and I celebrated my 1 year anniversary with my husband May 26th. The next day, my sister very unexpectedly passed away due to and E. coli infection. My sister was 38 and left behind 3 children and her husband.

Since my sister's death, I have not been online much at all, and I had only told a few about what had happened. I have spent a lot of time thinking about her and still I don't understand why or how, and I am not satisfied by the autopsy report. Anyway, I have been spending a lot of time with family, and being online anymore is not quite as often.

Some of you may have seen this coming back in April. After graduation and everything had settled down, I had planned on returning. After everything that has happened to my family in the past year, I'm not online as much anymore and I am spending more time with family.

It is with great sadness that I say that I believe I am retiring from RS and RV some. I am not on as much as I should be for the positions I am currently fulfilling and there are others that are here that could fulfill my positions. As of right now, I have not cancelled my RS membership, but I may only be on here or there to do quests or when I need a break. As for RV, I will try to check periodically, but for a while, there may not be much from me. I can say for sure that it has been probably over a month since my last login on RS or RV.

I just want to thank all of the RV members who made my time here very worthwhile and I want to think all those who gave me positions and dealt with my times of grief. And I know many of you are not religious, but I thank many of you for the thoughts and prayers for my family. And all of Zulu and those of the RVA, I appreciate everything y'all have done for me and for allowing me to feel like a part of the RV family.

Until next time RV.

I'm very sorry to hear about your miscarriage, your aunt, and your sister, Rogue. I can't say that I understand how you feel but you have my deepest sympathies. RuneVillage will always welcome you here so no need to apologize for the absence. Thank you very much for letting us know how you are doing.

I'm really sorry to hear all that, Rogue. Just remember, we're all here for you if you ever need to vent. Don't hesitate to drop in every now and then, I've missed seeing you around here :( .

I'm not the best as responding to these types of topics, so I'll just leave it at that, sorry I can't say more :(

I concur. We must lynch him now for the sake of the metagame, we MUST teach people that they can't go around claiming "anniversary" and expect leniency. Topsummoner.

How can one person be so unfortunate in half a year.

I'm sorry Rogue for all of your losses. Good luck in later life and I hope it does not bring any more misfortune.

Seems like you're still strong after so much misfortune. :) Sorry to hear about the loss. :/

Well, see you around, I guess. It was great having your presence here on RV and on RS. :)

I can't even fathom what you're going through, Rogue, so my only option is to wish you the best and hope these terrible mishappenings come to an end. I don't even know what to say, I'm so sorry to hear that.

This isn't the longest post, but I can assure you every word is heartfelt, I'm just at a loss of words. You and your family will be in my prayers, I wish you all the best.

Well, take care, Rogue. I still don't know what more to say, and I wish I could bring myself to say more. You've been an amazing face around RuneVillage, always kind and helpful. You'll never be forgotten for that, thanks so much. :)

I remember that time I went into the chat and you were there, I believe Stale, and others were there; you're an awesome person to talk to and in general.

I'm sorry to hear about the losses you've had Rogue, but it's good to see that you're remaining strong even after all of it. Stay strong, Rogue, stay strong.

Take care, and keep your head up.

I am so, so very sorry to hear that, Rogue. :( I've been praying every day for you and your family since I heard from you last, and it is still my hope that things begin to get better for you. I've only lost a grandparent, so I can't imagine what losing my sibling would be like.

I still miss being able to talk with you in RVChat, but there's no rush. If you ever return, even for just a short break or an hour here or there, we would be delighted to see you again. =) Take care.

That is a terrible understatement.. :(

I hate how good people get such misfortune.. It's practically sickening..

Come back when you feel ready, or if you need cheering up, you know where to go :)

Rouge,
I am so sorry to hear that. I had no idea you were going through so much.
I won't try and say that I know exactly how you feel because I don't and I am not one to say a bunch of cliches because those often don't help anyway. I do know a bit about losing several people in a short time, though. If you ever need someone to talk to feel free to pm me.
Don't worry about not being around here, everyone will understand. It is hard to be social and friendly and deal with people when you are hurting like that and can barely deal with yourself. Take all the time you need and you are always welcome to come back and post even after a long time away. You and your family are in my prayers.

Wow, it took me a couple of times returning to this thread before I could actually post.. I never really know what to say in these situations apart from the cleché's. I don't think a bigger tragedy could have been put on paper, in a book..

Sorry for your loss, but I will always be here with my cheery sexist comments, which you KNOW made you chuckle some ;).

rouge it sounds like you have had it extremely tough this last year, and your decision to leave is fully justified and understandable.

remember that runevillage can be treated as a safe place, a sanctuary for if you really do feel low and need someone to talk to outside of your fmily or friends

i dont know what else to say, stay safe :)

Like A5Chow said, you really have nothing to apologise for. Your life has taken what at times can seem like an impossible turn. The fact that you have been brave enough to come here and share your grief with the Village is a significant one. Coming to terms with grief and bereavement starts with acceptance.

I hope you come back soon, these places are wonderful distractions from life and at times we need that. One thing that separates Runevillage from most of the other fan sites out there is the shared sense of well being you receive here from situations such as this. You are in my thoughts and I hope you come back soon Rogue. Also your sister's family, I hope they find a way through the darkness of losing her.

You know I'm here for you, along with the entire RVA, especially Zulu Squad. As long as I'm in the RVA, there will always be a space for you there.

I know it has been hard for you, most people couldn't imagine the suffering you have gone through, but perservere through the hard times and joy may one day return to you.

Until next time we hear from you.
Good Night and Good Luck.

I am lost for words. The only thing I keep thinking is how many black cats you had to run over to deserve any of this. It all sounds so awful. I wish you all the best rogue and don't be a stranger ;)
