Well, there was a realise of the Chronicles style. And what better way to get it tested then to let everyone test it? Basically make a list of things that should be changed for our style and we'll put it into consideration to be changed. Like the post profile being centered, font changes, ect.

After this is all straightend out, we'll finally beable to install our old modifications back. Like custom titles. :D

Thanks!

yeah this looks hiddeous...

Buttons don't look right
the user navigation looks like a nuke hit it.
Smilies need to be organized
The text box in "Subject:" for posts needs to be more visible
the font should go back to like, times new roman or whatever it was
The "New Post - No New Posts - Locked Forum" thing on the bottom of the index needs to be centered
The text on the forum index should be changed back
Image - What is that star?
Theres a bit too much space on the edge (the stone texture and wood texture) of the forum index
The "Forum Rules" on some specific forums has a yellowish orange background.
Usernames on posts should be bigger font
Side profile needs to be centered
no chat link

I personally liked out ported design better. This doesn't look like an update at all, looks like a horrendous downgrade.

Move the Log Out and New Messages links back to the right side of the page. Right now.

The side bar on the Post A Reply screen with the "Smilies" is too thick and not enough "Smilies" are previewed so it looks kind of stupid. Either preview more or thin up the side bar.

Also, there is no Chat link?

The font is hideous. Avatars are not centred.

That is all.

Just from what I see to begin with... from left to right, top to bottom.

Pros...
The logo looks good where it is.
Two points for adding :-s to the smilet list on the left of the post.
Preview, submit, save, load buttons easier to read.
I like the star being used for the "New post" part.
"Who is Online" is color coded <3

Cons...
The "Runevilage.com" is too bland, the "Where RuneScapers Escape!" is imposible to read and bland.
Login / Logout and private messages are out of place.
The times need to be in synscronized positions, that's hard to get used to.
The "index > category > forum" bar is too thin.
The topic title is too thick.
Has the chronicles background always made reading "Moderators: Board Moderators, Forum Moderators" that hard?
The Subject bar and text box have near invisible borders.
The smileys on the left are still both unorganized (what happened to the 4 x 4?) and the wrong kind.
The font as I type is too big. When I read it on the posts, it's far smaller there.
How's the pricegraph button work, again?
Font still uses percentage sizes.
The "Filename" bar on uploading attachments has a chronicles background.

The online/offline tag is also not centred.

I personally prefer it to the left, so that one's gonna get debated, probably.

Hm... The light tan links lighten when you hover over them, nothing else remotely changes. I miss the hover color changes, too. :P

It wouldn't let me log in through the top of the page. I had to use the bottom log in.

And I don't like how unfriendly this is for high resolutions. :(

Too tired to type something long, so I'll just sum it up into a single word.

No.

New find.

Any forum that has the "Forum Rules" has a very hideous yellow background behind the rules box. Wash that thing out or something, please

- Text in "post reply" is too large
- Text on the Index page looks too small
- Don't like the yellow button for the two News forums on the Index page

Kikori - I like having the font size in percentages actually.

Edit: Maybe the problem with the text is the choice of font?

Also, the red to alert members that a post is new is too pale.

My only complaint is the font.

Other than that it looks nice. :)

One word for me;

eww!

Can't you have an option to let us who have a sense of taste have the old one back and the others have the new one :)?

GRUUUURRGGHHH!!!!

It's all i can say as i type. It's horrendous! I'm sorry, but with all the weaknesses of the ported version, at least that was pleasing on the eye. This is just... Well.. i'm sorry. It's awful.

:|

Thanks for the effort Henner, but we prefer the old style :P

EDIT: the quote's aren't thyat bad though, i quite like them :-s

Runevillage the forum is pretty well much done. Runevillage the group will eventually die, but as long as we're still friends with each other in the end, it's still a pretty big thought in our heads. Runevillage the family is forever, no matter where we settle down. If absolutely nothing else ever comes of Runevillage in the future, that alone is a pretty damn awesome thought.
