Lich closed his eyes as Link approached. "What part of 'Stay out of this' don't you understand?" He glanced towards Link, who was charging at him. "STOP!" shouted Lich, and Link did. In fact, everything did.

Lich walked up to Link, positioned himself where he wasn't in danger of being hit by the sword when he unfroze time, and rose his claw.

Lich unfroze time and thrust his claw forward in a powerful strike at the same time.

Just before the Flare spell hit him, Ray turned completely transparent and the magic harmlessly passed through him, before frying a tree a bit further back, and he turned solid again. He then pointed his left hand at Link and jerked it back quickly, causing the Hero of Time to be flown back a bit causing him to barely avoid the claw strike. "Leave this to me, Greenhat. This guy isn't beatable by any normal means."

Ray then turned to Lich again. "So, where do you keep your soul?"

OOC: Fine, you can have the fight. I'll bet Link could beat Lich anyway, though.
BIC: Sighing, Link went back to his tree and crouched by it, waiting for whatever he had been behind the tree for in the first place.

"If you must know, a team of... whatever, researchers or the like have my soul. They had some sort of aura of power around them, so I wouldn't cross them, which is why my soul is safe, and why you will not defeat me." smirked Lich. He held out his hand, and gripped it into a fist. "Warp."

BIC: Recognizing some form of attack, Link shot a bomb arrow at the undead.

Lich was getting annoyed with the green-hatted boy. He held out his hand towards Link this time, and clutched it into a fist. "Warp." The bomb arrow entered the warp that formed and immediatly shot back out the way it came in, towards Link.

OOC: Annoying is good. If I'm lucky, I'll be annoying enough so that Jak can fire off his nuke thing.
BIC: Link barely managed to pull off another shot with a bomb arrow at the opponent before he had to again duck behind the tree to avoid the first bomb arrow.

Lich maintained the warp, causing the second bomb arrow to repeat the path of the first, abliet aimed at the tree now, hopefully to destroy it.

BIC: Reflected arrows? Drat. Link rolled out of the way as the tree exploded, stood briefly to fire another bomb arrow, this time avoiding the reflector thing, and then rolled behind a second tree.

Serge had seen the warping arrow tactics long enough to recognize that it wasn't going to end soon... but he didn't have many attacks of his own that were safe to use without being warped himself. Speed was his ally this time. Prism Swallow in hand, Serge ran toward Lich, knowing from the pure evil look of him that he was the enemy, and waited until he had a straight, clear path to yell out a battle cry. The cry was drowned as Serge's running speed tripled, leaving him a temporary blur as he dashed to, through, and past Lich in a second, slicing his Prism Swallow clean through where the heart of Lich would be. The moment his skidding stopped, Serge hopped away and turned to face his new foe, if it even lived.

Jak yelled to eveybody, "Hurry up and get behind a tree that way I can fire super nova." Jak could somewhat tell now that super nova wouldn't kill Lich, but would most likely send most of his bones flying in different directions.

Lich had just enough time to mutter "Blizzard" in the direction of the bomb arrow before he was sliced in two by a blade moving at a quite incredible speed.

His two halves dropped to the ground, lifeless. The air hung heavy for several moments. And then...

Lich's upper half looked up. "What the HELL? Flare!" He fired off a Flare at the newcomer with a double-edged blade and blue hair, and then, within moments, had worked with unseen tools to put himself back together, and got to his feet.

OOC: Just like a Stalfos Knight. I assume that the same strategy can be employed on both.
BIC: Seeing this, Link decided to wait. If the skeleton again separated, he should be able to blow it up with a bombling...

OOC: Wouldn't quite work like this, because it would just blow more the bones apart instead of magicly destroying them, but eh, Link doesn't know this.

OOC: I forgot to mention accessories. Every Chrono Cross caracter can have three, and these are Serge's...
Dreamer's Sarong (start off with eight charges, meaning Chrono Cross is instantly available if I want)
Earring of Hope (increases starting HP by one heck of a lot)
Dragoon's Glory (increased offensive stats)

The hearing about some kind of nuke escaped his mind as Serge watched in amazement that the earthly demon reformed itself. It seemed to be undead, meani--oh crap! Serge raised his swallow in front of himself and braced for the fire he tought was coming. Instead, a flash of white pierced his eyeslids, despite being closed, and the light around him seared. Even the vest couldn't stop it from burning like hell, literally. But it would take more, Serge had survived volcanic heat before and would make it through light, which was his own element.

He had five charges left in his power. "You want heat? Here!" Serge spun backwards and brought his Swallow clean through Lich's chest, not slicing in half but opening a large gash. The fierce blow brought his element charge back to its highest, and Serge hopped back and twisted in a pose that he felt best suited for unleasing all the energy at once. "Volcano-o!"

Pointing his free hand at Lich, Serge watched as the demon was raised some into the air by a volanic rock rising beneath it. The volcano erupted in all its fury, raining down lava and fiery brimstone upon everything touching it. As soon as the eruption ended and the volcano disappeared, Serge finally remembered that Nuke comment. Discretion is the better part of valor? To heck with it, he was out of there. Serge ran past Link and got behind a large tree in the area, looking arount frantically as he recovered from his draining attacks.

OOC: He gashed what exactly? Lich is pretty much a BAG of BONES. There's a picture of him and a list of his abilities on Page 9, in case you didn't know.

OOC: The bag part? The bones? Even skeletons can be hurt by slashing and piercing weapons (though it's harder to do so). Speaking of which, what would happen to Lich if I hit him with the ball and chain?
