Team Torture
This is a roleplay idea that I came up with yesterday. It's part Battlefield, part Shades of Light, with a bit of morals (don't worry, nothing really sappy). The basic premise is that there will be a team of five to eight people on one team, facing NPCs controlled by me in a typical Battlefield setting. The catch is that those NPCs will work together as befitting their all being from the same world/team/etc. The players will need to work together too if they want to survive. If the players win the battle, then they'll be a bit of rest (completely healing all wounds, restoring all charges, etc., even reviving fallen team members) before the next battle. The first battle will be easy, and they'll get progressively harder. Here are a few rules to remind you of:
1. Characters:
-Either canon or a custom character made from a definitive rule set (D&D, RuneScape, WoW, etc.)
-Should not be overpowered, but should have enough power to survive an average Battlefield thread
-Should be human, humanoid, or similar in size to a human
-Should not be from the same universe that another character is from (You all need to work on a team, and Itachi and Sasuke, for example, would just fight each other)

2. Conduct:
-No godmodding. All characters are vulnerable to something. I'm being a bit loose with this because the teams I make will have multiple forms of attack, including large bludgeoning weapons, but if you're playing someone like Tahu or Arrancar #6, remember that they have vulnerabilities.
-Be nice to your teammates. I can and will summon random forcefields to separate people if I have to.
-Keep it PG-13, please. R at most.

3. Other:
-I'm going to be light-handed when dealing with improvisational tactics, but only if they make some sense. For example, Link can wield a battleaxe with no practice, a gun with less than an hour of practice, and a tank with a month of practice. Thus, if you play Link, he can use axes, perhaps guns if there's someone there to help him, and never tanks.
-Keep it within the realm of reality. I will be asking for citations of certain actions, and I want the closest citation as possible.

Ok, that's pretty much it. Oh, one more thing: each round will have a lesson. If you guess the lesson in OOC during the battle, I'll heal everyone then. If you don't, I'll tell you after the round has ended.
Now post some characters! IC starts when there are at least five.

Um, what edition is that? Depending on the level, a rouge/wizard (or is it rouge/sorcerer?) should have at least five spells per day, and most likely much more. The ring of polymorph is a nice touch, though.

Reference: Chrono Cross
Description: A loyal and valiant swordsman originally in the shadow of his older brother, Dario. He always placed first within the youth division in swordfighting competitions, and kept that skill despite his elder brother's death. He is loyal to his country to a fault, even on the line of having troubles choosing between morals and duty. Given that his duty is to protect, he is the best ally you can hope to have.
Weapon: Double Einlanzers (twin swords, legendary blades from both the worlds of Serge's living and dying, holy in power)
Armor: For the sake of not overpowering him, Prism Vest. Not the strongest, but easily not the weakest.
Accessories: Defender Plus (Excellent overall defense increase)
Dragoon's Glory (Excellent overall offense increase)
Stamina Belt (Increases stamina recovery rate)
Elements & Techs: Glenn's element sheet is quite square-like. 6's and 5's... *Sighs*
Oh, any + or - means they're that many levels off from their defuault, so they're that much less or more powerful. The only exception is Green Field, which has the same effect no matter what.
Level 1: Two Revives, two Tablets (consumable, good health recovery), Uplift (earth magic), Photon Ray (light magic)
Level 2: One Revive +1, one each Brace, Ointment, Medicine, Antidote (heals sprains, burns, flu, and poison), one Green Field-3 (turns "innate" field green)
Level 3: Dash 'n' Gash (like Serge's Dash 'n' Slash, a very fast dash leading to a powerful slice), Fire Pillar (good fire magic), Photon Beam (good light magic), Upheavel (good earth magic), Bushbasher (good nature [wind] magic), Cure Plus
Level 4: Strengthen (increases strength), Eagle Eye (increases accuracy), Nimble (increases dodging ability), HiRes (increases defense), Strong Minded (increases magic defense), Genius (increases magic attack)
Level 5: Sonic Sword (swings swords to make sonic slashes), Carnivore, Two Heal Plus' -1, Earthquake (powerful earth magic)
Level 6: Tornado (immense wind magic), Two Heal Plus' -1, Nostrum (consumable, huge healing ability), Holy Light +1 (powerful light, kills undead instantly)
Level 7: Dive 'n' Drive (Power up sword, drive it into the enemy, kick them back so it cuts more), Sonja (summons a faerie to poison enemies via powder), Deluge (powerful water magic), Inferno (powerful fire magic), Diminish +1 (halves elemental damage for everyone)
Level 8: Tornado +2 (immense wind), Genie (summons a wind genie to attack), Infoscope +2 (reads enemy's attributes), Two Heal Plus' +2 (basically manual full HP for one person)

How combat works for him: Chrono Cross characters start with set stamina and wear it down when attacking. They must let it recharge by defending, using a spell for it, or letting others act. The Stamina Belt will help Glenn's recharge two "points" quicker, so he'll move around a bit more than in game. Unless a spell gives him infinite stamina, using any element / tech brings him to dead zero and he MUST wait.
In any given battle, techs and elements (aside from stack-ables) can only be used once. Stackables can be used as many times as that element exists.
