Hello I have been very bored with T.V latley and I haven't read any good books in awhile and I am going down to the library today and I would like some recommendations for some good books.

I really like Adventure books a long adventure book would be nice

I love War books I really Enjoyed reading Black Hawk down That kind of writing style would be awesome.

it doesn't have to be an adventure book or a war book but could you tell me what category the book you recomend would fall under?

Thanks in advance.

I typically don't read books about video games or anything, but there's one I will make a recommendation for. I don't know if you've ever played the Myst series, but there's a set of three books by Rand Miller (Myst: The Book of Atrus; Ti'Ana, and D'ni (in that order)) that were awesome to read. The imagery made them seem like excellent adventuresque novels, and all three had quite a few stunning plot twists as well. It doesn't matter if you haven't played the game, because they really don't tie in, but knowing aspects of the game can solidify your background understanding of it. Lemme know if you're interested, I can explain a little bit more. ^_^

Well, not technically. Myst is the game were you travel to other worlds through books and solve puzzles there. The first game revolved around Atrus' two sons, Sirrus and Achenar, that were imprisoned in two Prison Books.

Whenever I don't know what to read, I always head over to LFGcomic.com and see what he's reading there. He (the writer of the comic) is a pretty big fantasy geek with a sense of humor comparable to the writers of the classic Warner Bro cartoons, so you pretty much always score.

Current pick, The Lies of Locke Lamora. Written by a game designer, the story follows a petty thief and how he becomes top dog, laced with action, deception, and a good amount of sarcasm and humor to keep you chuckling most of the way through. I'm enjoying it so far.

Uhh, Rat, you haven't seen anything yet.
Try the Tomorrow series, they're excellent.

if you want adventure there is always Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Or you could go with the Divine Comedy if you don't mind that it's really old so it's got that Shakespearean kinda thing going on but even older.

The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. You'll be hooked after the first one. It does start a little slow so just keep with it.
