If you refer to the custom titles that RV used to have, we no longer have them. Examples would be Donut Juice's blueberry fritter and Zizi's 'tasty but taken'

:( why don't we have them... I mean I don't know how they affect a large part of the space in Runevillage's storage system or do that?

Moved to Hiker's Campfire.

With the move to the newer forums a lot of MODs/Hacks were removed for security purposes, but they're slowly being added back; 'Custom Titles' were one of them.

As you can imagine, 'Custom Titles' are quite low on the list, as while they're a very nice feature, they're not essential. The 'Quick Post' MOD/Hack is one of the ones higher on the list, for example.

For those of you who don't know what they look like, it was something along the lines of this:

Donut Juice
This is my Custom Title!

Never noticed the Quick Reply had been taken away lol. Also I remeber about 1 year and half ago I was looking forward to getting my Custom Name but never had enough posts... When i finally had enough they were gone lol.

Would be a nice addition but like Donut says they arent essential :P

Are you sure there was a post requirement as well? I thought there was only a one year of being registered requirement.

one year, and at least 100 posts.

Or have a special rank, like legend, staff, mod, etc, etc.

We should so have costume names! Mine would be like, Cookie spaz or something.. Quick Reply is good because a bunch of people would like that. Many posts aren't very long and don't require all these gadgets

True dat.

I vote we have custom titles ASAP. I mean, we got our notes section almost as soon as it was suggested and we don't get a simple thing like a custom title mod :O

Runevillage the forum is pretty well much done. Runevillage the group will eventually die, but as long as we're still friends with each other in the end, it's still a pretty big thought in our heads. Runevillage the family is forever, no matter where we settle down. If absolutely nothing else ever comes of Runevillage in the future, that alone is a pretty damn awesome thought.

Notes is a default thing with phpBB3, i believe. They just needed to enable it in the admin panel.

Custom titles, however, need to be coded before they can be enabled, since there is no code already doing that. Or at least, not present.

That's what I understand of the whole matter.

Off the top of my head..
  • Donor icons
  • Medals
  • Banned users receiving PMs
  • Custom title
  • Quick reply
  • Colored topic titles
  • Category announcements
  • Profile limits hack
  • The old carding system
  • Hiding posts

That's the gist of it, but there are quite a few more that are being discussed.

We should be getting most of them back. It's just a question of when (which could be next week or in a few months). :P

Voting won't help.

As you could have, and should have read in the Staff forum, there are many many more important mods that are needed that custom ranks.

I for one would rather have a safer site than one with a spiffy little line of text.

reed da post. The notes section was added virtually instantly, the minute it was suggested, whereas custom title mod (which is really a very simple piece of code) has to sit on the waiting list.
