A few things

I'm rewatching bleach from episode 1. It's cool because I know I'll notice a lot of stuff I didn't get the first time through. A few things I remember are:

Renji saying something to Rukia like "But I understand... He does look a lot like him doesn't he?" referring to Ichigo about why she associated with him in his mind. Pretty sure he's talking about Ichigo looking like Kaien. That's interesting, and you never could have known that the first time.

After Byakuya beat up Ichigo that night he went to save Rukia and cut off his spirit power or whatnot, and he had to regain it by passing Lesson 1-3 with Urahara (lol), I was looking foward to seeing again how close Ichigo got to being a hollow and what basically made him become a Vaizard from that point on, even if he didn't really know it. It was also cool watching Ichigo talk to Zangetsu as he was turning into a hollow and watching as he struggled to regain power. Hearing Zangetsu tell Ichigo that Byakuya had cut off the power that Rukia gave to him, but not Ichigo's own shinigami powers that were awakened inside of him by Rukia's power, and now hid deep inside of him. Interesting stuff.

edit- actually, I guess he wasn't really a VAIZARD from that point on. He now has the hollow inside him; once he tames that with the other Vaizard way later and is able to call on his hollow powers at will is when he's a true vaizard.

Oh yeah, and wondering how all of the other Vaizard came to be as well. Did they all lose their power and almost go hollow, then find their power again like Ichigo? Or is there another way that happens to them. Urahara told them to wait when they were about to begin rescue measures, saying he was turning into a hollow, but completely out of the normal order. His mask was forming first, with his body remaining a human, showing signs of his resistance. Crazy stuff.

Also, just not really noticing that much that Ichigo's Zanpaktou was different before he regained his power and called out Zangetsu's name. Lost the guard, slightly different shape near the hilt, still big and unwieldy looking. Cool stuff.

After Urahara opened the gate to Soul Soceity for them, he touched it and it buzzed with electricity and seemed to block him out like a forcefield. I think he's banned from soul soceity and can't go back.

That's the part I dont remember. I forget what he did to make that happen and why he's living in the real world in his little ole shop even though he's a pretty amazing Shinigami (ex-shinigami or whatnot).

I think there were a few more things too; I just cant remember. It's great to watch again.
