Christ its supposed to be a community on here and you try to help people as best you can not BAN them.

He broke both Runescape and Runevillage rules, if i did the same i would be banned and its the same for any Runevillage member. Also the Runevillage staff found out the truth that he account shared an rather than just ban him we let him post a farewell, so he posted what you all read and he came out with the truth an took responsibility for his actions which i must say took guts an shows character.

Bye Tyler, you did a lot for RuneVillage, and while the account sharing isn't very impressive, all the wonderful things you did definitely outweigh this one bad choice.

Be sure to appeal when the time rolls around!

I can't say I'm surprised that that account wasn't yours, though I'm saddened to see you go.

I'll speak to you on msn from time to time.

Wow, I didn't know all that, but then, we were friends in the days that you were quite new, after that we never talked again somehow.. I'll miss you though, you did a lot for the RVA and you're a great guy, you'll turn out okay, lots of things to learn, and yet so wise already :D

Who knows I'll talk to you again some day :D

Ah well, I'm not going to lie I never really liked you or anything, but saying that I also had nothing against you. I figure I just never talked to you, well, most people here for that matter. I do know you were a great villager regardless, and that you were (or are I guess, shouldn't use past tense) a respectable person.

I'll see you if I see you.

You seem to be blaming everything else for this mistake of yours instead of accepting that is was you that made the choice that ultimately led to the action taken against you. Your point about it being hard to refuse to accept something given to you for free is a bit invalid, if you knew a car was stolen you wouldn't accept it because its against the law, the same should be said for doing something against the runescape rules. Your dad leaving your family didn't make you break the rules, growing up in a single family didn't make you break the rules, being a "gangsta" at school and taking on 5 people (which btw I really don't believe) did not break the rules, you made a conscious decision to break the rules and then lie to everyone about it.

Society is built on laws and rules, they help keep order and keep things fair, thats why I like them and I don't like people breaking them, we are all equal in the eyes of the law, in this term the eyes of Runescape and Runevillage, your social background or family history should have no effect on your adherence to the rules. I know in the past I have done bad and I got dutifully punished for it, I hope you learn the same as I have.

I really couldn't have given a flying monkey if you accepted the account and just kept it quiet, I don't condone rule breaking in the slightest, but heck its your online experience you can screw it up whatever way you want. It's the way that you blatantly flat out lied about the origins of the account to everyone here, you were starting to get better, you were getting more accepted, why would you blow it all over a easy RS account?

Most people enjoy their runescape accounts because it is an achievement, they put the work in and everything that is on that account, all the skills, all the items, is due to their work and effort, its an achievement. I honestly can't understand why people would even want a 2nd hand account, it would never really feel the same and there is always the chance that the original owner could recover it back or it could be banned.

I'm curious if you will keep using the account now, lying to more people, or if you will do the right thing and either try return it to the original owner or just drop the account.

You need to think carefully about what kind of person you want to be, do you really want to be someone who can lie so easily to his friends, someone that will take the easy way out no matter how wrong it is? Every choice you make shapes you as a person, don't make too many wrong ones or you might not like what you have created.

You should take the internet a little less seriously than you are doing now. Oh and by the way, his account got locked for saying bad things to a player moderator.

Then you in turn may want to take her post less seriously as well. Please be nicer, she was stating her opinion, not flaming Tyler. -Jaron

Apologies for deleting a couple of posts, but when The Slayer's post after Hiei's was deleted, they were no longer on-topic.

Hiei's post, while strong, was his own opinion, which he is entitled to.
Sarah's post, while expressing extreme disappointment, is not flaming.
Please do not try to turn either into an argument which will serve no purpose.

In addition, Jem was correct, please remember that you may not post for banned users. If you can post for them then there's no point in them being banned in the first place, so it technically counts as Ban Evasion.

Thanks.

I don't get it either. Building up your account is half the fun.

His account got locked because Jagex obviously worked out he wasn't the original owner. Now he has to prove it is his. Nothing to do with Player Moderators :-s
