I have been going over this for a while now in my mind and in my heart and I think it is time for me to step down and take a break. I just don't have the time anymore for RV with a full time job, college and raising Janie. I never really have had the time but it used to be worth it to put off studying, work or sleep to come on here. It no longer is. The reasons keeping me here before are now gone.

I have forgotten what it is like to just post and have fun. This used to be a place where I could come to and relax and feel good but now it is so much the opposite of that. There is way too much drama that happens and I am tired of being caught up in it. I get stressed out just logging in here anymore and I feel like I am losing the part of me that cared so much and turning into a cynical, sarcastic person.

I have tried just taking a break but I inevitably get pmed or messaged on msn with something to look at or take care of and I end up coming on here because I feel I am letting people down if I don't. I think it is best if I just become an elder or whatever the admins see fit to make me. I don't think it is fair of me to keep this position if I am not going to be that active. I will still be around some but it will help me a lot to know I am not required to be here and to not check the mod/admin forums and see all that is going on behind the scenes.

I know I haven't had this position very long and I apologize for letting down those that thought I should have it. I thank Hiker and the others for the opportunity. To the rest of the staff I will say, regardless of the constant accusations of being corrupt, etc., the majority of you do a great job. I wish everyone could see how much work and time it really takes and how thankless a job it is and how oftentimes we want the same things as most users but our efforts are overturned or blocked. Maybe then they would think twice before complaining and throwing around accusations. I thank you all for trying to make RV such a great site to come to. I just can't do it anymore.

See ya around.

Zilla, you have been a wonderful administrator to us. With all the things you have to deal with here and in real life, you definitely deserve a break from here. I really hope you get to catch up with everything you need to do in real life and things get more under control. I wish you the best of luck, Zilla! Please come by and visit us once in a while. :) We'll miss you.

Wait, what??

>:(

At least you're not leaving. And, as has been said with every similar announcement by everyone else ever, RL must come first. That, and RV should be something fun over most else. If it starts seeming more of a job and less of a fun thing, it loses its point. I can't blame you.

Aww, I was afraid this was gonna happen, though it is completely understandable. Raising a baby is such hard work, when you throw in all of your other responsibilities, its really a lot to tackle. I have been so completely impressed with how well you, Mustang, and Henner have held up considering how much you all have on your plate. The fact that you guys have any time at all for RV really shows your dedication. I know there will be a time when you are ready to step back into the admin role, but for now enjoy a well-deserved break from the pressure/nonsense. :)

You've really helped a lot, Zilla. I don't think I've ever skipped one of your posts in the mod forums, you always seem to have something well thought out to say.

I hope you can still find the time to just be around RV, but as always life comes before the village, and this should give you more time to enjoy motherhood.

You've done an amazing job, and I believe I speak for the whole village when I say that you are always welcome to weild your four shields in the future should you ever decide to.

Aww, this is really sad to hear :(

I know your time as an admin hasn't been extremely long, but you've done a great job. You have earned the utmost respect from me and many others. It's nice to hear that you aren't leaving us, merely stepping back a bit. Good luck with raising Janie, Zilla!

You've been a great admin Zilla, but I'm not going to plead against your decision. If you feel it's best for you to step down, then by all means do so. But at the very least, I hope you'll still continue to post as a normal user. We really do appreciate all you've done for the village.

See you around Zilla. :P

While I'm sorry to hear that you're resigning (since you really have been doing an awesome job), Janie/Mustang certainly need you more than we do, and I'm glad you're able to put them and yourself first, where it really matters.

I'm glad you're not leaving entirely, and I hope Runevillage becomes your place to relax once more as soon as it can. :) See ya around.

You've been (and still are) an integral part of RV and I just hope you know how much we all appreciate the hard work and dedication you've already shown to RV.

We all need a break from this place sometimes, and I know a break a while back did me good as well. Hopefully, despite your stepping down you still manage to visit on occasion; it's always been interesting listening to your fresh perspective on a variety of issues.

I was talking to H K about this yesturday - about how you haven't been actively posting lately.

Its a shame to see you go, Zilla. You were always, and shall remain, a great member of Runevillage. Good luck with everything that you do from here on out.

Zilla, i never really saw you around RV but don't worry, everything i saw of you had friendlyness slapped all over it.

You were a great board mod and were probably as good an admin, and i see no reason why you shouldn't of been, but RL must come before RV. Enjoy life, raise lil' Janie, watch her grow up and think back to the times you enjoyed most.

Zilla, you will be greatly missed, but if resigning as admin takes plenty ofr poressure orff your shoulders, then so be it. We won't stand in your way. Do what you think is best.

See ya around.

Runevillage the forum is pretty well much done. Runevillage the group will eventually die, but as long as we're still friends with each other in the end, it's still a pretty big thought in our heads. Runevillage the family is forever, no matter where we settle down. If absolutely nothing else ever comes of Runevillage in the future, that alone is a pretty damn awesome thought.

Aww :( I understand your reasons and raising a baby is way funner than this place :D you've done a ton of great stuff here and I know I will miss you greatly as well as many others will, but real life must always come first :)

Make sure you pop on msn occasionally so I can poke you still :P and remember if you need any help with janie I'm only a plane ticket away! *pulls an umbrella out of her bag and flies away*

Well, I wont say this was a shock, as it wasn't. I knew that motherhood should take priority for you over RV, and I am glad that you have decided to concentrate on your daughter sooner rather than later.

We will still be here for you, when/if you decide to return, and I am sure that you will not be kept out of the loop by Mustangnut!

You were one of my favourite Mods/Admins, so I will miss you! My offer still stands to babysit :D

I know I don't really post around here anymore, but this is a special occasion.

Zilla, you've done an amazing job around here, despite the timeframe. I'm sure you'll be missed very much.

Perhaps we'll run across eachother irl :P

Kudos to you. Good luck with everything going on, I know it can all be very hard, and I sympathize 100%.

Enjoy every day and have a fun life. Maybe we'll add one another on MSN or the like one day, maybe not. But what I will say is you'll definately be missed. From the day I joined the village to now you were one of the people I always respected for both your kindness and how you've helped the site - I know you'll continue to earn respect in the real world and I hope it takes you far.

I never spoke to you much at first. But when I did you showed the respect was well deserved, thanks. Anyway, as I said before, have fun, see ya around :)

Ah, everyone has seemed to post what I've wished to say..

I somewhat saw this coming as well. Not many people can juggle that many things at once, and those who do probably don't turn out the best - and they probably don't have a child on top of that!

So, best wishes with Janie, Zilla. Less stress, and more time with your daughter and husband, sounds like a positive decision to me. :)
