I venture to say, with a resounding voice, NO!

Now let's get this topic back on track. This isn't about why or why they were not chosen. Obviously all these people met the requirements set forth by the admins and had more than enough votes from their peers to be selected. There is more to a Legend than the amount of posts they make and how often they visit the site. I see no reason to discuss this as it already has been done. Any further discussion can be kept to yourself or through PM's with admins.

Let's just give these people what they deserve, a nice clean topic to congratulate them on their achievements.

I mean come on, Cueball was given legend status, and yet i had barely known about him (possibly due to his low post count ) . but i found out later on he was an awesome guy, although i had no idea what he did to get it.

Hey woah, the list's finally out. Took long enough.

Grats to everyone - All well deserved. And trust me when I say that there was a lot of discussion behind each and every person. What some people don't stop to realize is what goes on behind the scenes; There are users who constantly help the moderators by notifying them of avatars/signatures over the limits, spam posts, and the like. The legend rank is given to model villagers who contribute positively to RuneVillage - And those types of acts are certainly a positive contribution.

Basically what I'm saying is that in a case like June (a spell of inactivity), their contributions as a model villager aren't just tossed aside. Everyone lives life, and things come up that limit activity - But should this stop someone from receiving a deserved rank? I don't think so.

Either way, complaining isn't very respectful - Especially when, as I said, "behind the scenes" contributions play into promotion consideration as well. Everyone promoted is deserving of the rank - bottom line. And that's not to say that anyone not promoted isn't deserving. Just keep contributing positively to RuneVillage and I'm sure you'll stand out for doing so. Apple summed it up in a great way.

But as it's been said, let's keep this topic to the congratulations of those who were promoted, rather than why or why not people were or were not promoted.

Andrey, I remember when I was like that, but does it really matter? It's a rank on an internet forum, I would never pick some of the people they have picked over the last few years but there's no point worrying about it. You will get to a point where you will feel very stupid you ever cared about ranks or the reasons people are getting them
