Runevillage the forum is pretty well much done. Runevillage the group will eventually die, but as long as we're still friends with each other in the end, it's still a pretty big thought in our heads. Runevillage the family is forever, no matter where we settle down. If absolutely nothing else ever comes of Runevillage in the future, that alone is a pretty damn awesome thought.

Well, I had a blast :D

The first day I went with my cousin to Pauli Pavillion to watch UCLA beat UC Davis (basketball). The stadium is old, but awesome... great atmosphere in the student section.

It was sunny ever day until the one we left. Spent time on the beach a few days.

I saw the Rose Parade, we got there at 5 AM (parade was at 8 AM) so we could see pretty well (although that's not camping out over night like some people).

After the Parade there was some AWESOME tailgating. If you've never been to a college football game, I suggest you go to one (at least the tailgating). People go before sunrise and don't even go in the game, just tailgate the entire time until late at night. For this event, ESPN set up a whole tailgate area with like concession stands and cool games and TVs. Plus there was a huge Illinois tailgate with tons of people and some band I've never heard of.

The game was disappointing, we had some chances and almost made it a 3 point game in the third quarter, but didn't execute very well. They'll be back next year with a much better chance to win. USC fans are horrible though, and Pete Carroll complains and runs up the score....

The Rose Bowl stadium is awesome. It's HUGE.

Overall, very fun even though Illinois lost, great experience and spent lots of time with relatives and in the warm weather (it was 70 there when we left for home, and 23 here when got back in St. Louis --- good thing I don't really mind the cold).

Glad you had fun! Not too surprised about the outcome of the game though. :P
