Scale of one to ten, how was the flavor? I'm not trying to get compliments, I just want to know if it is worth it for me to put thought into the story (for future games).

Monk....that final protect, man...I was seriously so close to sending you a PM that said "YOU HAVE A 50/50 SHOT. CHOOSE WISELY."

If I'm being honest Pyro wouldn't have been my next choice anyway so it's really not something I feel too badly about.

Flavor was good, I give it an 8. Having market post for a day was a nice touch. However, it leaked into killing people without much warning, and that was not good. I like how it went but we gotta know that going in. As it is, like Jaron said, why should the mafia bother to vote if there's gonna be a random kill if a lynch fails?

Again, Jaron, what did I do or say that was scummy?
I'd rather not say, as I was only 75% right about it (and it's probably not beneficial to me to give away what I think are other peoples' tells). It's not anything like what Pyro mentioned though; going off of online status or the old "so-and-so is writing a PM on RV" thing people used to do isn't really my style.

I know, that's why I never specifically stated my reason. I can't help what I see. I knew you were mafia in the previous game with Top because I knew he would have asked you to get discord in order to have mafia talk. I knew you were likely mafia in this game because you were both online and not showing as away even though you never talk in the channel. You could have very well found a channel on discord that you were suddenly talking in, but it just seemed too different. That's the downfall of us all communicating outside of RV unfortunately.

That sounds like you were deliberately looking for outside information on activity. Hardly "not helping what you can see" if you go looking for activity info. I'm not bothered his game but if I lost because of that I'd be pissed.

In Pyro's defense, some things just can't be unnoticed. In a perfect world we would all have amnesia at the start of every game and absolutely no contact with the outside world. But that's not the case. I've definitely allowed outside information to influence my thinking; it's not a cardinal sin, it's just something that we have to try to minimize but also realize that it's not possible to get that influence down to zero. I'm not gonna ignore what I happen to see or what my mind pieces together, but I can control myself from presenting it as evidence in my posts.

It's a bit like when a judge tells the jurors to disregard a statement or a piece of evidence; what they mean is don't bring it up in deliberations as a tool to influence other juror's thinking. Jurors aren't computers that you can just go in and delete information from. Mafia is basically a scenario in which everyone is a juror and on trial at the same time.

In other news Discord has had Invisible status for like a week now. You could use that going forward if you were worried about such a thing.

Yeah when you put it like that it's fair enough. If you go trawling through activity history though to work out when people are online it's a bit disingenuous. I appreciate this isn't what Pyro did, just don't want it encouraged!

For the record I am not at all interested in hosting at this current moment in time. Maybe later on.
