Dark stormy nights have always been a little too cliché for a murder, but there's also no better night to plan your move. The dim light. The blurred vision. The blissful sound of rain falling on dirt and grass covering every quiet step you make. Knowing the softness of the soil will wash away your tracks. And all you have to do is not get caught.

That was the plan. And unfortunately for one poor sap who went digging just a little too deep, it's the plan that stopped him from uncovering the truth.

Kikori - Detective, killed Night Zero.

The only thing left on him was a notepad stained in blood. Bullet points throughout, streaks of ink coated and blurred in red, and only one legible word left, likely intentionally as a calling card: "MAFIA"

There were always rumors. Now they're confirmed to be true. Town after town fallen to a silent threat. The successful defenses, rare. The failures and lives lost, countless. And as the village of eight gathers up to find this shocking truth to be at their doorstep, the looks immediately glance to and fro to figure out who can truly feel safe around whom... and fast. Merely a formality to make sure every suspect is present and accounted for, a roll call is suggested.

"Aragorn IX?" The Villager survived to the end, but failed to stop the Mafia.
"Frank 4.0.1?" The Stalker died Night Three.
"Jackstick?" The Insomniac survived to the end, but failed to stop the Mafia.
"Landerpurex?" The Tracker was lynched on Day Three.
"Sighence?" The Watcher died on Day Two.
"SparkyAMS?" The Trapper died on Day Three.
"Spirographed?" The Mafia Stalker won alongside Topsummoner.
"Topsummoner?" The Ninja won alongside Spirographed.

The stage is set. The hot, humid morning promises a day of discomfort and tension as the wayward looks and words ready to fly...

Day One - 8 Players - 5 Votes to Lynch
Day Ends Thursday, August 18, at 7:00 p.m. CST

Rules

Do not talk about the game outside of the game unless you have a role that specifies otherwise. Inter-Mafia communication is the obvious exception.
The mafia win when their numbers equal or exceed the village.
The village wins when all the mafia are eliminated.
A Lynch requires more 50% of the population to vote for the same person.
The day phase lasts 72 real life hours. The night phase lasts 36 real life hours.
Dead players may not talk to living players until the game ends. Dead players may communicate freely among each other.
If a Lynch is secured before the timer expires, the day will officially end. Any discussion after this point is a "Twilight" period. (I'll probably try to update the topic around the same time on any given day, though.)
If all possible night action PMs are sent before the timer expires, the night will officially end. Any changes to your action must be made before the next day's post is made.

I suppose you may be right... After all, why break with an establishing tradition? But I really felt like this was the kind of pertinent, game defining knowledge. Best to get it out in the open immediately so we can assess what we're up against.

I swear I played in a game once where I had kept casting votes on everyone but the stickler host said only my first vote counted because I never officially "unvoted." In fact, looking it up, you were the host of that game. Which further proves that you smell.

Weird. I don't recall having such a nonsense rule. Hopefully I've grown since then. The only reason I would have it is if there was a double voter but even then it's not necessary.
