Anyone else excited about this game coming out?

I am, very big fan of the franchise. I own the first 3 games of the franchise on Steam. Fallout 3 was my favorite(Don't click unless you played it)

I have a 1 in and 1 out rule.... I only keep 1 game and when I beat it I get another.

I will beat fallout 4 and resell it or keep it if I like it and go for another.

I don't think you understand the concept of fallout4 or any bethesda game. "Beating" their game does not exist.

:p I am talking main quest buddy!

I believe the side-quests will take forever though.... I did all the side-quests in Arkham Knight and it took forever. . . Fallout 3 and NV were similar you had a main quest and a bunch of side quests. .. some of those side quests were better than the main story. . .

If you have not bought Fallout 4, it is awesome I would recommend it to anyone who has like 4000 hours to spare.

Senior. Been part time until last semester due to RL getting in the way. Now I can afford to go more.

If you're after experiencing all possible sides of the gameplay and a good chunk of story, 2 -> 3 -> 4. 1 is okay, but 2 is an all around upgrade where you still get enough of 1's story. You can skip Tactics & the Brotherhood of Steel games and not miss much. 3 was the first to adopt the Bestheda formula (take that as you will). You can skip the glitchfest of a lifetime New Vegas after that and get 4. 2 has the original turn based combat, higher potential for skill use, non-FPS style gameplay where you can play without fighting entirely if you want. 3 and beyond make combat all but necessary, not that it's a bad thing if you like the end result. (Most of us do.)

Off to Steam with you.

I'll probably have those beat in a few years ;)

Edit: fallout 2 was $2.70 Canadian. The sale is on until the first of December.

F1 can be beaten in a couple days provided you know the game... Otherwise you're probably going to be scumming quicksaves for hours on end. F2 seriously made the character mechanics a lot less clunky and/or worthless. Blows the hell out of a ton of other games from the late 90's, however.

And all the Fallout games aside from 4 are on sale on Steam. That Autumn sale's going now as Market mentioned. I'm guessing Gaben's bank account took a hit from buying enough food for american turkey day.

Since we're talking about fallout 1 and 2 now, it is worth noting that if you like how they play, the lead developers went and created a new company and created the game Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, which plays much the same way but is an improvement. It takes place in a world stuck between magic and technology so you can play it as a traditional magical rpg or as a steampunk rpg :P
