On a PC, i keep getting the page, "Have you installed RuneScape?", and it's not letting me play in a browser. Is there a way around this?

If you want to use the browser, don't use chrome. Chrome no longer supports java. So no RS.

If you are going to use Internet Explorer, then you will have to make sure java is enabled.
My java disabled itself the other day during an update. So that's worth a check.

Alternatively, you can download the RS client.

I was using firefox. It's a little weird how that happened on a PC, but on my laptop i don't get the same message.

If you're using chrome you can in the url bar type: chrome://flags and then activate NPAPI, this will allow you to play RuneScape in chrome.
But this feature will be completely removed before the end of this year, so it's a very temporary work-around.

Lastly, whether you play in client or browser, RuneScape still takes up around 1gb space on your harddrive.

Haha I probably still have those jagex files on my laptop. One for rs3, one for the html5 beta, another for osrs, and one for rsc ;P
