Aragorn. And Henry, logic was that there was a 1/3 chance. Good enough for government work.

Interesting.
Thr really saved the town there. Without the detective hits, there really wasn't a whole hellofa lot to go on.

Not a whole lot to go on? king was 1 vote (or 6 hours) from being lynched prior to being investigated.

Thr picked well with Aragorn though. Aragorn would have been my 2nd choice.

Having the doctor able to self-protect is fundamentally non-vanilla mafia imo and I wouldn't have chosen him as the target had we known that information (picked him purely thinking he was the doctor and therefore unable to self-protect). I wasn't happy about that at all...

For my first time as detective I think I did ok. I was worrying I would get killed before my report, so I tried hint dropping a little information. Also the reason I investigated king again was for good measure. You never know. :?

This is the 1st time I died so early. I was *not* happy. Good job, though, town!

Self-protection, on this forum at least, has always come down to host preference. I think for the balance of this game, you're right, I shouldn't have been able to. I wasn't about to not take advantage of the fact I could.

It usually is host preference (I, for instance, hate the notion because it's not realistic) but for a long while people were always raving about MafiaScum.com and all the roles they had.

http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Doctor

It's pretty clear.

But Top is right; house rules always override. 8)

Well played guys. Nicely done to Thr for doing a good job rooting out the Mafia and claiming when you did, and good job to Top for two successful protections! That one might be a record.

Not going to lie, I didn't particularly enjoy the game.

Just didn't feel like enough was happening to get into it, didn't connect as I usually do. Probably due to my own busy schedule at the moment, but may need to take a break from mafia (also I may not have internet for a few weeks after next weekend).

Short game/small numbers also didn't interest me much, but that isn't the fault of the host.

Having a Detective step forward and make it happen cap'n probably took away from the action as well. There wasn't really any chance for the really fun detective work to out anyone out aside from leading The123king into his corner, and even then that got solidified by the Detective more than logic.

I like small games. They more closely match the party games I've played IRL. Good game, and thanks for hosting, Monk.

WEll you guys pretty much said it all there. It was a margin call on allowing for self-protection, and even more so to go with two mafia over three. It may very well have been a better game with either or both of those going the other way. Still, I feel this worked out rather well on the whole.

With that, Thr, you're up.

Whilst I was annoyed, it was a good game nonetheless, cheers for hosting :)

Before I start my mafia game note this. It may take awhile to start for two reasons. 1. I'm busy for the next week. 2 I think everyone may be a little mafia'ed out. When I do start I can promise you it will be far from vanilla no matter the size of game.
Also Sighence good game, I enjoyed being detective.
