To Ace:

"Your second vote for me was AFTER I explained this. Ergo, there was no advice to follow at that point because I'd admitted that the message was baseless."

When I voted for Bluecoat at the time, I voted believing AC360 was a town detective. Then Henry voted for me for "baseless voting". AFTER that you role claimed and said you agreed with Henry and would "change my vote in that direction" (being me) at the drop of a hat.

Agreeing with Henry that I voted for no reason, when my vote was following what YOU SAID makes me want to vote for you!

SO I DID.

The second time I bolded your name was to show I was still voting for you, even though my post were all aimed at Henry. Sorry to Top for double bolding. UN-DOUBLEVOTE back to just one.

To Henry:

I do post more under pressure, but that is because if I'm not posting, It's because I have nothing to add to the conversation but hype. And I do not like to do that. It takes me a while to piece together real evidence.

Alright, I am automatically becoming suspicious of anyone who finds my post suspicious.

I *literally* just said that "there will be an AC360 post tonight" in good fun. And I think that's extremely obvious. Blowing that up sits really poorly with me.

That's somewhat okay, since I know later in the game you do contribute more.
However because of that very same reason, early on posts which just vote for someone with nothing else in the post is just scummy.

The good news is, you have justified your votes nicely now, and have better reasoning for them than some of the other votes out there at the moment. Unvote

Now I have absolutely no idea who Anderson Cooper is, or what AC360 is meant to mean, but I am not buying Tennis Ace's roleclaim to be nothing other than a message-writer. Especially not buying it after the unforced roleclaim when nobody was even questioning him. The willingness to jump ship and vote for somebody based on them following your own message is a bit scummy, and the latest post trying to shift suspicion back to anybody who dares to see him as suspicious really does not sit right with me.

The Fuzzy Bunny's with this train on Tennis? He's claimed to give a message of his choosing, people think he may have more Detective like powers... and want him dead for it?

This.
I, unfortunately, do know who Anderson Cooper is. The AC360 message ability would make sense for that name, but there has to be more than just a message ability. I don't think Tennis would have let the cat out of the bag so quickly for his *only* ability, no matter how lame the ability is. Detecting ability wouldn't seem likely to me, given the character, but I also don't think Anderson Cooper would be a mafia role...

...but then, again, what if everyone picked really positive sounding names. There would still have to be some mafia in the bunch.
I dunno. Just thinking outloud. My vote is still for Thr and his "plans".

My sentiments exactly. I'm not really down with any of the trains going on. Though his roleclaim was totally unprovoked, I do like his reasoning because unfortunately, in these games, it is sometimes easiest to find the mafia by figuring out who is lying about their role/s.

Henry is starting to play a little out of character for me but my vote stays where it's at for now.

As far as me being onto something, it might not have been about me being right so much as me being NOT WRONG. I mean to say, when someone is after a person who is not mafia, the mafia will not have them killed, simply because they are barking up the wrong tree.

The fact that Bluecoat went so out of his way to try and cast doubt on my assertion only serves to make him look worse in my eyes. I have absolutely, 100% killed people who were after mafiosos for the exact reason kikori and others (?) have stated, it creates such a WIFOM that it's generally a win-win situation. Though kikori's rolefishing statement makes sense too, I do only check RV nowadays as an afterthought...

Long story short, if Bluecoat and/or Monk were not mafia, the mafia would absolutely let us go on and on against eachother and leave everyone involved alive for a time. One thing veteran townies do when arguing with eachother is allow the mafia to fade into the background, as the ill-founded conflict takes center stage. The mafia is content with this. They are not content to let dangerous players who might be sniffing the right trail live.

Sighence - 1 - bluecoat
Tennis Ace - 3 - SparkyAMS, Jaron, Dr Henry
Thr - 2 - Sighence, Spirographed
SparkyAMS - 2 - Aragorn Ix, Tennis Ace
Riptide - 1 - Thr
Jaron - 1 - Muscular Ape
bluecoat - 2 - Landerpurex, Kikori

ACCUSATIONS FLY IN EVERY DIRECTION. DESPITE THE LOW AMOUNT OF BLOODSHED, THE ARGUMENT HAS NEVER BEEN THIS HEATED. BUT STILL, NO CONSENSUS IS REACHED.

THE TELEVISION SCREEN LOWERS AGAIN FOR ANOTHER EPISODE OF ANDERSON COOPER'S 360.

"Tennis Ace speaks the truth. But one of the other players is the Mole."

THE SCREEN RETREATS TO ITS QUARTERS, AND SO TOO DO THE PLAYERS.

NIGHT THREE BEGINS.

ANOTHER MORNING, ANOTHER PERSON MISSING TO THE INITIAL MEETING.

EXPECTING ANOTHER FALSE ALARM, THE PLAYERS SEND ONLY A FEW TO JARON'S DWELLING. THEY RETURN SHORTLY.

"I... think everyone should see."

JARON IS FOUND FACE DOWN IN HIS BEDROOM IN A POOL OF BLOOD. THERE IS A BULLET HOLE IN HIS HEAD. THE ANONO-MASK ON HIS FACE FADES, SHOWING HIS TRUE IDENTITY.

STRANGELY, IT SEEMS HE WAS EXACTLY WHO HE SAID HE WAS.

Jaron - Jaron, Killed Night Three

TWELVE PLAYERS REMAIN. SEVEN VOTES TO LYNCH. DAY FOUR BEGINS.

Well, that sucks. Nothing to do but keep charging forward. Sighence, for being the last person I voted for yesterday.

Thr, you heavily imply your third-party status. I submit -- and let this be evidence-of-alignment for me; reread your win conditions -- that townies shouldn't care. You're either mafia trying a very interesting third-party gambit, or you're provoking us all for a purpose we're likely best off not knowing.

OH

ALSO

Since I've now rather solidly discarded my usual cloak of scumminess, I feel now is the proper time to come forward as a detective role.

N1 I investigated myself to check for sanity. I came up innocent.

N2 I investigated Tennis Ace. He's innocent.

N3; Lander. Also innocent.

There's still a chance I'm naive, but I doubt it.

Anyway pushing off third party accusations, my vote for Riptide stands. I still think my mafia list is pretty accurate. So if I change vote, it will probably be for someone on that list. :glare:

Alright, this is just gonna be stream of consciousness, so here goes.

The first thing I'm going to say is, and this may be a little narcissistic, but I sincerely believe the three people who came to my defense at the end of the day yesterday (Kikori, Spiro, and Lander) all to be villagers. I was already on the villager train for Kikori and Lander and didn't have a strong opinion about Spiro's alignment before that. I just don't think that it's something that a Mafioso would do; would be easier to jump on the lynch train.

Of course, with this in mind, I *do* believe Sighence's roleclaim too. His timing seems appropriate, and his investigations line up with what I've already thought.

Now I'd like to go back to a post I made on Day 2, where I made my claim that "Aragorn is 100% villager to me." I still believe this, but I think this would be a good time for someone to come forth about his N1 Survival if it could help the rest of the town. Additionally, the rest of my post on Day 2 accused Muscular Ape of being a Mafia, and I also said, "And if that assumption is correct, it also presumes that Jaron is Village and that Ape is just trying to deflect attention to him." Well. Now Jaron's dead, so I just want to draw attention back to this. I think we should analyze Ape's post.

So we have 13 people in this game. I don't know if this means there are 3 or 4 likely Mafia members, but I'm going to go ahead and take a look at the list of players. with my opinion:

1. Spirographed - Villager
2. Aragorn Ix - Villager
3. Sighence - Villager
4. Muscular Ape - Mafia
5. Tennis Ace - Villager
6. Dr Henry
7. Thr
8. SparkyAMS
9. Landerpurex - Villager
10. Riptide
11. Jaron - Villager (obviously)
12. Kikori - Villager
13. Bluecoat

This leaves Dr Henry, Thr, Sparky, Riptide, and Bluecoat. If we have four mafia members AND Ape is one of them, then 3 of these 5 would be Mafia.

Looking at who voted against me yesterday: Dr Henry, Sparky, and Jaron. I believe *at least* one of Dr Henry and Sparky to be a member of the Mafia. I originally suspected Sparky more, but Dr Henry seems to be playing way too sporadically.

Anyway, that's just me rambling everything out onto a post. I think it's time we analyze some of their posts more thoroughly.

Alright, after re-reading the thread and based on my last post, I believe the Mafia to be:
bluecoat
Dr Henry
Muscular Ape
Riptide

I agree with Aces list for the most part but... I think Spiro is in the Mafia list and Sparky to be villager. Aragorn is still possibly mafia in my mind.

I'm more inclined to believe Sparky is mafia over DH.

Musc is hard to read, Riptide hasn't been particularly scummy imo. As for Bluecoat, he doesn't seem to be playing his usual style, but that doesn't guarantee anything.

For me, Sparky is still the best candidate for a lynch, followed by Thr (think he's third party).

What's the point of lynching someone who is third party over someone who you suspect to be Mafia?

Hence why I put the vote on Sparky and not Thr...

Sheesh, I was just asking a question...

I meant that you said Thr is your second choice of a lynch. I was just operating under the assumption that we have more than one person as Mafia candidates, so I would go after them before someone else. Lynching a third-party player would only increase the overall Mafia fraction, so it seems to me like it would behoove us more to keep third-partiers in the game if we even have an inkling of who could be a Mafia member.
