It is too late in the game to do that now, I have however reminded him of his participation in the game.

I have to go out for the day today - not sure how much access I'll have so this may be my last post (regardless of the lynch outcome).

If Riptide is lynched and he is town, game over.
If Riptide is lynched and he is mafia, I will most definitely be killed, because I am a certainty to vote Dr Henry tomorrow.

~~

Everything that has happened since my vote for Riptide, hell maybe even since my vote for Thr, has only convinced me further that I've made the right decision and that Riptide & Dr Henry are the mafia. Well played.

In particular, Dr Henry somewhat frantically changing his vote to Monk in a last-ditch attempt to save Riptide:

Dr Henry wrote:
You know what? No. Screw this.

I will not have the town lose because of a mafia pretending to be inactive. Monk was online just a few hours ago, he has had plenty of chances, days upon days, to post, and he has CHOSEN not to.

You three can think what you like, whichever one of you is his co-hort I do not expect to join me on this lynch. I don't care. When we lose, at least I can say I made the effort to kill the fake-inactive mafia.

Monk has been kept alive for obvious reasons. He is theoretically an easy lynch in end-game due to his inactivity. He also essentially is a non-vote due to his inactivity. Perfect candidate to keep alive until you need to lynch him (see the start of the day, see the post above, who is trying to lynch Monk the hardest?)

Furthermore, Dr Henry's not going to vote Riptide. The chance has been there to complete the lynch and he hasn't taken it. Dr Henry will claim that it's because he has always thought Riptide is town (funny about that, and I realise this also applies to me - but see my post of why I voted Riptide to begin with), but based on everything else I can only conclude it is because they are partners.

Even if Dr Henry did decide to hammer Riptide, if the name came up red, Dr Henry would be the prime lynch candidate based on everything that's been said (the likely combinations I originally proposed, the fact that Riptide & Monk or Riptide & Thr would no longer make sense).

So everything points to Dr Henry being mafia. If Riptide was town, Henry would have hammered it by now. It all makes sense.

With all that being said, I am most definitely sticking with my vote. I am thoroughly convinced.

I will be pretty bummed if Henry & Riptide win through Monk's inactivity. Not that they don't deserve it, Henry has played a great game and Riptide has done what he has needed to do by staying 'under the radar'. Hopefully Monk comes online, catches up on the thread, and casts his vote.

If Riptide is lynched and is mafia, it should go without saying to lynch Dr Henry tomorrow. I am pretty sure either Thr or I, most likely I, will be dead so they can continue to milk Monk's inactivity for all it's worth.

However, if Monk still hasn't voted in a day where we're approaching the end of the day phase, I'll change my vote and give them the win. Don't want to drag it through a pointless night for an inevitable conclusion.

As far as inactivity goes, replacement probably would have been good.

On the other forum we use mod-kill in the cases of gross inactivity. Usually only happens to townspeople because mafia can send actions in through their team-mates. Mod-kill is the prime choice because it's very hard to find replacements as everyone who wants to play is already playing in games of 20 - 30 people.

Rarely happens though. I got mod-killed once even though I was following the game regularly and just not posting to make people forget that I was playing so as to avoid death (I'm a Night 1/2/3 target, sigh). Much easier to hide in 20+ people :P

I was saying the same thing to Riptide, how we don't want to win this through Monk's inactivity.

You and Thr did a good job at working out that it was us two, and I don't see any way in which either of you would be tricked tomorrow.

Essentially, you've got us.

The only reason I am not voting for Riptide is this:

On the off-chance Monk does return, you have the game done without me turning on my team. Fair enough.

If Monk doesn't vote, Rip and I would like to kill him off tonight, and then tomorrow when it is 2v2 and usually the moderator makes up some flavour text about the mafia overpowering the town, instead we would like to spare you two and call it a draw.

Well, statistically speaking, slightly more than a giant suckusaur. A dire one.

Eh heh... If we hadn't killed Lander I'd surely be dead by now. He's aggressive as all get out in this game, and even with all my past games, I'm still at a newbie level.

Im still wondering, how did you come to the conclusion of killing Market day one? Was it just random, or part of a plan?

Actually, no, I can't concentrate on the concept of scientific internationalism right now anyway, and Doc confessed already. Bad form, Doc.

So yeah, my activity. Yeah, it's been pretty bad. Day Two was due to a family emergency. Day three was due to a combination of failing to convert time zones properly and the day itself passing rather quickly for these parts. The remainder of this day is due to there not even being twelve damned hours during the theoretically 36-hour night phase. I'd have posted a thing if I'd been able to. As it was, I couldn't. Deal.

Bored of waiting.

Thr, was literally random. For the record, I roleblocked Lander so he never got an investigation. Pure skill ;)

After Lander died I kinda didn't know what to do since he was the detective. I then Overthought things way to much, confused myself, and well you all saw the result lol. At the end I just went off dead townies information.

I'll get to the inactivity issue in a minute, but the night ends when all night actions have been sent in, 36 hours is the upper limit.

Let's just finish the game...

Riptide is lynched, he was the Mafia Godfather.

Night roles go.
