Random is definitely the best way to go in some situations but this seems unique. A demon cult, ice and mirror mages. Jack himself said he put a lot time into balance. That could mean just in terms of role limitations but given the number of vets and the number of newer players, I am tempted to believe he gave power roles to more experienced players and cushier roles to new people to make sure they were not steam-rolled.

Also it's pretty much an unwritten rule that the roles are distributed randomly, so I wouldn't read too much into that.

Hey lander, with all the snow and the mirrors and the demon and the possessed. Doesnt this seem a bit like legend of drizzt? Where he is fighting the demon in the northlands by that lake?

And frisky, were you late today? Did the snow affect your commute? :P

Well done Frisky on the quad post. Yeah I know your excuse, but I still find the situation kind of hilarious. If you truly are the commuter and we have to lynch you during the day, I think we should wait until tomorrow to lynch you. It will be more revealing to go for somebody who has more concerning behavior.

9. Dr Henry: Mafia. Far too aggressive and inconsistent.

11. Sighence: Villager, but a bit of an unknown given the attack.
...
18. Imasquid: Given that I am a villager, I am inclined to think he may be mafia or demon. Not from anything he said, but I know Jack knows he is my brother. Jack may have been ironic and given us opposite roles, but he may have also made him a villager with a noob role much like my own. Mostly an unknown.

These are the three I am most concerned about today. Obviously I do not trust you. The lack of flavor text about some one trying to attack you suggests there have been no attempts on your life. This also means that you could be cult or mafia aligned. We simply do not know if your role is a load of hooey.

Dr Henry has been quick to blame and overly aggressive. I do not think he is the demon and I think our efforts will be better focused elsewhere.

Sighence, I am still concerned about how you survived the attack. Perhaps you are cult aligned and the demon does not know the members of the cult. Or perhaps the demon is also able to stop an attack, that seems odd. Maybe there is a character who blocked the demon that night.

I would say more about myself, but I need to head to class. I will respond later.

Yeah, sorry about that, stupid steam browser lagged up on me, and I generated a super text wall.

Given that the role blocker died the night before and last night the ice mage type person blocked everything, it would be weird for their to be a third blocker type person. Their could be but it would probably only be a 1-shot type thing, I believe for balance sake.

If he truly is the commuter, the village would NOT want to lynch him during the day. Because he is the demons weakness.
So, imasquid you must be a cultist. Do you have any special role?

And to comment, the demon probably knows the identity of his subjects. Otherwise how would he know who to attempt to convert.

Cool beans.

Since no one else seems keen on lynching the cult, I'll let you all sort this out.

Well basically we are on day 3 v.2 so try again?

Also, big surprise that Frisky would say I am Mafia. I am just stunned by that... Just continuing from where he left off yesterday trying to reflect my accusations back at me. Has anyone explained what OMGUS means to you? It is the sign of someone who has been caught out as Mafia (or demon in this case). Frisky (note I voted for him first yesterday, day is basically continuing due to ice so this vote is not me being hypocritical)

Sayaka do you want to explain why you chose last night to freeze the town? As possessed it stopped the demon from recruiting, and stopping aragorn's night action doesn't benefit the town.

Oh yeah, and read the very first post of day one again, I wasn't lying. Trolololol didnt expect that did you?

So Dr Henry if you are who you claimed to be, tell us what you did each night?

Wait are you serious. Can you be less ambiguous? Are you now claiming detective? Does that come with a report on anyone?

How do you know that it was Sayaka? Also this was very beneficial to the town, basically extending the otherwise wasted D3.

It also stopped me investigating Frisky.

Well if you add two and two together, I investigated sayaka, hence questioning his role yesterday to see if he would reveal it as he didn't initially.

First night, ironically enough, was Top. Don't quite know why a killer, doctor and detective all close him but still... Unless he has been converted since, he was a vanilla townie.

The one thing I was confused about, and one of my reasons for coming forward now (since yesterday was wasted and we have no new evidence now) is what links sayaka and top together, as both results ended with mention to 'roommates'. Top had space in his house for two more of them, and visiting sayaka revealed the same, as well as a sense of seeing the house before.

Now i apologise to jack if these specifics ruin part of his game, but he gave me this extra information. I can predict what will happen next but don't want to say so until it happens... I can also guess at what this means but want these two to explain it.

Still have FoS on you penguin, and market, rat king being Mafia.
As for the demon, my vote stands but my alternative is bluecoat

Bit of advice for a new player: since detective/doctor are the two key roles in most games, if your vote is on one who claims either, it is usually a good idea to unvote rather than dig a deeper hole for yourself.

My mistake, the quadruple post followed by blue's vote got me mixed up.

So, two questions for you:

1) why do you think there are as many as five Mafia remaining?
2) why did you list who you think is Mafia yet not follow a single one up with a vote?

I do not think there are 5 remaining just 5 total for the whole game.

I did not want to cast a vote too early, again, I am looking for some clear evidence of something. I doubt at this point a vote from me causes any level of pressure given how much of what I says goes unnoticed.

If voting to kill Frisky is an indicator of cult alignment, I am afraid we can greatly increase the cult count as indicated from yesterday. Inlcuding Dr Henry. There are other reasons to want Frisky dead.

You make sense about the demon knowing the subjects. My only reason for believing that was Sighence. Sorry, I seemed to say something to confuse you about my alignment. Also, you make little sense yourself. If I were a cultist, we already determined killing them off is kind of useless especially if we are unaware of additional roles. What I meant to imply is that Frisky is a concern because he claims to be a commuter, but we don't know if that is true. It could, and likely is, be a ruse. I think he is the demon and claiming to be night immune to benefit his safety. That is why I voted for Rose yesterday. The doctor loving and general sketchiness seemed kind of demonic like, but I retract my initial judgement.

Nobody else has really done much to suggest demon, except Frisky. I see he is either Demon, mafia, or actually the commuter. If he is the latter, well at least you guys seem pretty cool with losing that character. You've made it pretty obvious you aren't the demon or even demon aligned Market Man. I think you are probably Mafia or a townie.

Well i notice... Huge inconsistencies in your list made on the other page.

You list kikori as a cultist villager. He was Mafia, caught out between lander and myself and initially voted for by blue.

You also say you thought penguin was Mafia until he didn't jump on your train yesterday. LPO again, he did.

You were actually right about sayaka so can't fault that.

Thinking that jack would make your brother the opposite role to you is silly, it is random.

And finally, just so you know, Phantom is not a vet. This is her second ever game I believe, the first one she was Mafia (with me) who did very well in fooling the town and getting close to winning. However this was done with advice from me and others. Certainly not a vet, but able to play well enough. Possible Mafia, admittedly, but just clearing up your point.

Well since that cat is out of the bag, I am their third roommate. We're more or less a cult, or neighbors, or whatever. We're allowed to talk outside the game but not much talking has been going on due to the unorthodox nature of the game, and most likely due to Jaron's alignment. But we are obviously town-aligned.

If you want my opinion on this debacle, we have no choice but to believe that Henry is the detective at this point. But I maintain that he is playing like a pompous ass. You should realize your style right now isn't serving anyone.

I also agree with Top in that I doubt Frisky has fabricated a role for himself. Furthermore, I doubt anyone would advise him to fake claim as it would require a lot of defense on his part. Which isn't exactly the smartest thing to do; thrust a rookie mafia into the limelight. As such, I don't think he's the demon either. I have a hard time believing he made up the commuter role on his own.

The final word is that I believe this to be an ill-conceived argument between two townies, and that the mafia *and* demon will continue their nefarious acts while you two argue and the town weighs in, demon and mafia looking useful but not really doing much. Besides getting Frisky lynched.

What's far more disturbing is that people are fully willing to lynch the one failsafe we have against the demon.

I can agree that Blue is a good bet for Demon, though Sighence is the better bet.
