It's been too damn long since I've played SSBB. :down:

Would any of you be interested in a tournament?

It wouldn't be held on any specific day. You just fight your opponents when you have the time, same way we did it last time.

I would be interested except that last time I played SSBB over the internet my connection was laggy as heck.

I would love to! I play against my friends when I am over at their houses. But sadly, I can't commit to a tourny here, cause I don't have my own machine.

Next time I am over at a friends house I will look into playing online. Then post my info here so you can challenge me sometime(if that is an option. As I don't know-havnt played online before)

The connection almost always gets better as you play a little more. The first match is always hellishly slow.

I look forward to it if anyone wants to try fighting me. :3

Well, yeah. We're kind of all across the world. :p

Last time we did this, we had it branched out like a regular tournament, but players found free time to get online with each other and fight. Took maybe? a month due to the most restricted player's schedule being hard to clear up.

Step 1. Buy this.

You should already be sensing something amiss about visiting a website for the sake of the tournament.

Step 2. Ensure your internet can support this.

Step 3. Buy this.

Step 4. Log into the game, on the wii console, using the console's online features. Some configuration testing may be required, often where firewalls are concerned.

Step 5. Share your player code with your opponent using the roster/friend lists. Likely found here.

Step 6. One of you hosts the match, and then fighting happens.

What do you guys prefer, wii controller, or cube controller for SSBB?

Gamecube controller obviously.

I'm actually equally proficient with both. Wii + nunchuck and gamecube work as well as long as I can take a minute to get use to the former's controls before actually going into it.

I tend to use Gamecube when I can for Wiimote battery conservation.

Ah. Fair enough.

I, too, prefer the cube controller. Especially for games like mario kart. They are easier to use because they are so much more precise and predictable.
