I've met quite a few people in the game who have asked me how they can make a decent amount of money without using skills, or with minimal requirements. I myself have found myself asking the very question to others and through experience, I've discovered a few simple ways.

1:) Red Spider Eggs- Do not bring any items with you, such as food or armour. The only thing you need is a rope, which you will only need to bring the first time you go. It will permanently remain at the tunnel entrance for you after that. It is however reccommended you have a reasonable combat level so deadly red spiders do not attack you on sight. You're going to want to go to the Chaos Tunnels located in the low level wilderness just north of the Grand Exchange. There are 4 entrances into the tunnels. The one you want is straight north, and very slightly west of the shortcut at the NW corner of the Grand Exchange. There are 2 entrances that way, you want the one furthest north (the entrance is where the wilderness level switches from 12 to 13.) Climb down into the rift and you should be in a room with some moss giants. If you're not, you went into the wrong entrance. Once here, run east to the portal that leads to the room with the deadly red spiders. Occasionally, the teleporter will teleport you randomly to the wrong room. in which case you'll have to run around to find your way back to the spiders, or teleport out and start over. Once you're in the red spiders room, you will see red eggs around the edges of the room. There are 7 egg spawns here. Red spiders eggs respawn in the same place 45 seconds after you pick them up. That means it will take you less than 4 minutes to fill your inventory. Once you've reached your limit, it's time to bank. Open your Home Teleport and go to the Edgeville loadstone. Once you're here, run east to Edgeville bank and deposit all your eggs. After that, run NE and you will find yourself back at the shortcut to the Grand Exchange. Repeat. Based on average price of red spiders eggs, you will yield about 240k per hour using this method.

2:) Chocolate Dust (My Personal Favorite)- You'll need some money and a mortar and pestle (reccommended, faster) or a knife (toolbelt knife and mortar and pestle work.) All you have to do is buy chocolate bars, as many as you can. Once you have some, fill up your inventory with them. Right click one and go to the powder option. Grind all the bars to dust and deposit the dust into bank. Keep doing this until you've run out of bars, and then sell all of the chocolate dust. Chocolate dust is always more expensive than bars, and often players buy the dust above G.E. price. On Average, you yield around 335k per hour doing this.

3:) Merching/Flipping- This one will require some money to start as well. The more, the better. What you want to do is go to the Grand Exchange and buy an item with a high trade frequency (items that are traded frequently.) If you have a lot of money already, doing this with Godswords and other higher value items will be reccommended as you will make more money faster. If you don't have a lot of money, you'll want to do this with items such as broad tipped bolts and ores in large quanity. You're going to want to find the high and low sell points of the desired item you wish to merch. The way you do this is by buying 1 of the item for much higher than anyone would typically pay for it. The item should sell instantly and when you go to the retrieve item screen, at the bottom it will tell you exactly what it sold for. Remember that price or write it down, this is the (high-selling price.) Now you want to sell the item for far far less than anyone else would offer. Go to the retrieval screen once more and look at the final selling price (this is the low-selling price.) As last time, remember or write this number down. You will only have to do suffer this monetary loss this time. The idea is to find an item with a large price difference between the high and low sell point. Some items are neutral, and always sell for, or for about the same price. Now you can merch. Buy the item once again, but this time in bulk... and offer at the low selling price you saw when you sold the item. Occasionally your items will sell right away, but you usually have to wait several hours, or sometimes several days before your items will sell to you so be patient. Once you have gotten your items, its time to re-sell them once more, but for the high selling price now that you originally got the item for when you first purchased it. Selling the items usually takes longer than buying them, but in due time they will eventually sell and you should have a nice little profit after all is said and done.

4:) Banana Baskets- Start by buying many baskets and a few Amulets of Glory from the Grand Exchange. Add 5 baskets to your inventory and use your Amulet of Glory to teleport to Karamja. Go to the banana trees and begin picking bananas. Then, use bananas with the baskets to fill up the basket. Once your baskets are full, bank them and do it again until you run out of baskets. You can sell your Amulets of Glory on the Grand Exchange once they are used up. You will lose a small amount of money, but it will be gained back and then some once you sell your baskets of banans.

thanks for the tips shmop!

to add to number 3, its also worth it(especially if the purchase will take a couple days) to do a bit of research before you buy. look at the item history on the grand exchange part of the runescape page. note the fluctuating pattern and attempt to predict where it will go next.

if you believe the average price to rise in the future, then that is a good thing to purchase. you may not end up purchasing all you wanted before the price changes; but after it does change, you will be able to sell the items back for a much larger profit!

if you believe the average price is about to drop, maybe consider postponing your purchase. or choosing another item all together. because once you have bought the items, the price you can sell them at will be lower and will greatly cut into your profits.

another thing to keep in mind while researching, is always be looking for news about updates that will effect the price of the item you are interested in merching with. an update may make the item obsolete and worthless. or an update might be a graphical rework of the item, and it will spike the prices for a short time.

finally, number 4 reminded me of getting stuck on karamja as a noob in my first week of RS. exploring the map and not having a return fare.

I avoided Kamarja like the plague back in the day for that very reason.
