Am disappointed but not surprised.

Am certainly not as enraged as some of my friends.

But Obama has been a terrible president, and I don't expect this to suddenly change.

The UK didn't have to back us in Iraq/Afghanistan anyways. We didn't hold a gun to your Queen's head (joke).

And war looks to be inevitable in the Middle East.....again. Iran and Israel won't back down. Something is bound to happen.

Yeah, I had a couple of beers with lunch and I was in a weird mood when I posted that. Of course we didn't have to back the US, it's relationship with the UK is possibly one of the most valuable assets we have as a country, which is pretty much why we did it.

I feel bad for Americans. Another 4 years' time of promises and unemployment.

People got scared Romney would make it harder for them to get their foodstamps. We make it way too easy for people to get government help. When you see people paying with $500 of foodstamps at one time and them driving a nice 2005+ car, and still complaining they don't get enough government help. People are sad, and lazy in the U.S. I live and work in Texas and we're one of the more conservative states...

I feel you on this, 100%. What's worse is I see people with huge orders (I currently work at WalMart) with about 300 dollars of food but also items like electronics, alcohol, etc. I wonder to myself...if you have such a hard time feeding your family, why not spend this money you're wasting on nonessentials on essential items instead?

What's worse is I work in a community with a Latino population of 20%+. There will be no racism disclaimer here because frankly, the way these people take advantage of the system is nothing short of obscene. On a daily basis I see people who refuse to speak one syllable of English come through with 300-500 dollar orders complete with aforementioned nonessential items. They use their WIC and food stamps to cover maybe half the order, then they pull out WADS OF CASH containing hundreds (or thousands) of dollars earned from non-taxable jobs or income and proceed to pay for the rest of their order.

I make about 800 bucks a month, have a degree, am constantly in search of work and can barely pay my bills, yet I refuse to seek food stamps because I believe there are people out there who need that stuff more than me. I can feed myself on twenty dollars a month, it makes me wonder why these people need 300+ dollars a month to buy mostly junk food.

I loathe the welfare system and it is part of the reason I will never, never vote for a Democrat so long as they support that system. It's what keeps poor, worthless, lazy people flocking to the polls to vote for this person just so they can continue their morally reprehensible way of life.

You know the irony of the people that spend that much with Foodstamps? They do choose Junkfood and alcohol over important things like meat and produce. They always make sure they leave with their alcohol or cookies over food for an actual meal. I currently work at United on the East side... soo it's about 85% Black people and they all told me they voted for Obama so they could keep their foodstamps when I brought up politics while checking out their 3 baskets of :bunny: . And this one time I checked out $800 worth of stuff annnd they put stuff back, and when the transaction was over they had a balance of over 1k left on their card I was like really... And those people that throw foil or alcohol into their baskets and after their foodstamps go through they rage when they have to actually pay for something. Foodstamps and WIC are a waste of funding because the government doesn't do sobriety tests or drug tests to the people that receive them.
Also let's say the entire transaction is $96 and they pay like 94 with foodstamps and then pay for the $2 plates or whatever with a $100 bill... I want to tell them that they could have just payed for their groceries too...

Wellfare is trash, most people that I know on Wellfare are trash. If you are lazy and don't want to work, starve to death. I don't care about you then. I deal with enough free loaders coming in at work "sick" and crap. Not to sound heartless but I'd rather see worthless lazy people die and us support the TRULY needy that can't afford things but are TRYING to make it right. I know a lot of families in my area lost their homes when GM closed and they couldn't find work (thankfully my family did not). They needed help but couldn't get it, but some family with 12 kids with drug addict parents can drive a damn Cadillac that I can't afford, but they get food stamps, free housing, free gas/electric/Internet, and f'n cell phones....

That's why I sort of like Romney over Obama. I believe he was going to try and institute a program that cut you off of food stamps if you weren't working or weren't trying (something like that, I didn't research it). Sort of a radical idea.

I remember when Florida tried that but if you failed a drug test, you were cut off your state benefits. People damn near rioted...

Here is some advice for nothing.

You're either Fuzzy Bunny the government, or being Fuzzy Bunny by it.

Depending on your welfare system, go on welfare. Leech every single dollar you can from the system - All the while working towards getting that job you want.

Believe me, the government isn't going to hesitate to put its hands in your pockets when it can.
