Wow, all but 3 skills maxed out? Thieving would be a pretty easy one to do too I'd think.

Wow, how cool would it be to make a game like RuneScape, with 10+ years of history and fanbase behind it? It's basically my dream, jeez.

Is that song in RuneScape?

Seems like a decent guy. It's too bad he didn't reach his 5B goal, but knowing when to quit is an admirable thing. I think I remember when I reached that point - it was when I missed out on a very short-lived window of opportunity (like one-day long) in which I could have gotten a third Party Hat for basically zero GP, because of some very sudden and very expected price-fluctuations in the Grand Exchange. I was pretty frustrated when I missed out on it, but eventually it helped me realize that I wasn't even playing the game anymore. I was just wasting time trying to be richer, so that I could use my riches to become even more richer, and so on.

And now all that richness is going to waste, like the week-old donuts at the back of a bakery display.

You should let me have those donuts, Jack. I will enjoy them no matter how stale they may be.

This was a few years ago, so my memory might be slightly off. Phats were going through a sudden massive drop in price, as predicted by a popular rich guy on the RS forums. I was trying to get a pink phat, but for it to work I needed to buy a green phat first. If I had timed everything right, I would have been able to sell my masks and santa hats for enough GP to buy a green phat while it was at such a low price. Then I would have waited for the green phat to rise back up to a stable price, and sold it for enough GP to buy the less-expensive pink phat and all of the masks and santas I sold. So, in a matter of hours/days I could have obtained a pink phat for basically no cost. And that would have been awesome.

But here's what really happened: Santas and masks had also dropped slightly in the few days prior to this, but I didn't know that because I hadn't been very active on RS at the time. And, just like the partyhats, they were going to rise back up too. What I ended up doing was selling three masks and two santas on the GE for a price high enough to purchase a green phat. But they took quite a bit of time to sell because they were going through a steady drop, so by the time they sold (like after 1 day) the green phat was already seeing an increase in price, and those masks and santas that I had just sold were also going back up in price right after I had sold them. I tried buying a green phat through the GE anyway, but it was a useless effort. I actually ended up losing a santa hat in the process because the money I had was only enough to buy back a mask set and one santa, since they had all risen in price. So I cried for 30 minutes, and then moved on with my life.

Same here. I kept getting richer with the plan of one day using my riches to play comfortably and buy whatever I wanted. I only really did that at the very very end of my game. I wish I'd have sunk money into fun things earlier, like Barrows gear or something.

I remember what Jackstick is talking about, it happened a few months before I returned to the game one time. Big partyhat crash, they all dropped down lower than 100M and Blue Phat was something like 90M. They had been 300+M just before that.

Buloo would know more about it, he bought his then.

Anyway on topic, thinking about the ridiculous amount of time I spent on Muscular Ape getting my 99's (9? idk) I just don't even really know what to say to people that "achieve" things like this. Seek help? Ugh. It's frightening. I wonder what his play time is.

So I just noticed Suomi came back at some point and maxed out all his skills at 200m/5b total experience. Wonder what made him change his mind

I noticed too, and how he was at 4,999,999,999 for a long time. Surprised how Jmods knew and cared about whether or not he stayed. Jagex was much more secretive before
