doubt it. in this big of a game, i dont think that was what happened.
either the doctor got REAL lucky( 5% chance of being right), or the mafia consciously chose not to kill(also seems unlikely)

There would usually be a sentence or two in the Beginning Day post about there being an injured person. Seeing as there were none, I don't think it was a Doctor Save.... I'm leaning towards inactive mafia. I really don't see any reason else why the mafia wouldn't be making a kill a night, especially this early in the game.

I do agree that it is pretty fishy that the mafia chose not to kill anyone. Why would they choose not to do anything?

its a tactic more often used later on in the game.
usually in conjunction with an argument in the game. they want the absence of a night kill to make them seem like a villager.

Now that is pretty hasty. He made an observation that anyone could easily see. This could be either, many sites play mafia such that a doctor kill is not publicized, so it is possible. I'm not sure why they would choose not to kill, it doesn't really benefit them at all.

To be serious for a mo:

If I recall correctly, the responsibility to initiate the kill depends entirely on The Godfather. It's reasonably possible that the rest of the mafia is very active, very much wanting to kill, but their Godfather is a lazy player. So it's possible that the mafia did decide on a kill last night, but their Godfather did not send it in.

But who cares about that, we have more important matters to address. Frankly, we need to kill Frank.

Tru Ninja was my vote yesterday for inactivity, and will remain so today. Even more fishy since the mafia didn't kill, and Tru didn't read his PM until today.

You topsummoner...

It's because DUH I am the leader of the RVET and nine times out of ten, the leader of the god damned village during these games.

Indulge this: as proprietor of the RVET, I had hoped that the mafia had the good sense to leave all the noobs alive for at least a few 'days'. This is one explanation for the absence of a kill. The person I think fits that bill most is Kikori. But nothing really points to him being mafia...yet.

Otherwise I have to agree with Tanks and say that it's awfully coincidental that Tru Ninja only just now read his PM and there was no kill. I'll get aboard that train.

Otherwise the doctor speculation is unwarranted, and nearly deserves votes on the questioner (Market Man). If you don't have enough sense in your skull to realize we'd know if there were a doctor save, that makes you mafia trying to sew some chaos amongst the town.

And the other one times out of ten, who leads the village? A shared amount of weight between Henry, Monk, and I? :ura:

Two curiosities.
Why didn't Jackstick vote for Tru during his serious moment? The logic is there.
Market's got suspicious behavior, while Tru has suspicious circumstance. Is there really nothing wrong with this picture?

I suppose I should elaborate. Leave it to a combination of hunger and headache to make me forget to follow up on this point before clicking 'Submit'.
Market's actually done stuff that earns suspicion as Mafia, whereas Tru (if allowed to stay inactive) at the worst can make a plea of villager and potentially earn us another night without a kill. Tru fits the bill of inactive Godfather, but as far as I'm concerned, that would be a plus to the Village I'd like to take advantage of while it lasts. That and he hasn't had a chance to speak yet--I'd really feel like an ass if he didn't read his PM because of such things as internet troubles and family issues.

Market Man6. You're first.

Your logic is sound as usual, aside from one gaping hole. Sure, if Tru is the inactive godfather we could go on without kills. But do you know what would be better? Killing him off as a mafioso and getting one step closer to winning.

I follow your post, I just really disagree with that angle.

Sound as usual? I chuckled. Normally I spew a ton of crap that makes people slip up their logic, right?

I don't see nights without Mafia kills as 'worse' than killing an inactive Godfather we know is the Godfather and instead getting a new, active Godfather who's probably much better hidden among us. Both Market and Tru are priority targets right now, it's just a case of which direction to take.

If nothing else, I'd like to at least get pressure on Market for his behavior. Leaving it untouched for the whole day doesn't sit well with me.
