Either of you played as Zer0 yet? I plan to when I pick it up tomorrow night after work, his class appeals to me most (until the mechromancer of course)

Yeah the turret is, dare I say, MORE BA than last time. Mine's rigged up with rockets now, and a laser sight.

I haven't played as Zero at all doc. He was a close second.

So been playing for the past few hours, some offline, some co-op, as Zer0. Finding it as fun as the original, don't see any noticeable difference with the jumping on rocks, and I just wish I could find one really awesome gun somewhere... just got to sanctuary

Tried all classes except Siren. Not sure which one I like best though, but kinda like Gunzerker for ammo regen.

I think we both are. I'm currently going down the sniping tree, then I'll try out the melee tree and see which I like better.

I'm on the melee tree for Zer0, started a Commando account too, not sure which tree to use. Thought he might have had some health or ammo regen ability but didn't see one :/

He does have a health regen ability...but it doesn't seem he has an ammo one, Doc. The health one is under the 'guerrilla' tree. It's called 'able' and apparently allows you to regenerate a small amount of health every time you damage an enemy. I just sank one point into it and have yet to try it out. But you can get a sort of ammo regen with the absorption shield which is always neat.

So I've decided to quit hating *so* much on this game. One of the reasons it bores me sometimes is because I'm playing the same character and same way I did in Borderlands 1. But on the same token, I think Borderlands 2 is a far cry from the 9.75 that Game Informer reviewed it as.

Currently level 28, very obviously nearing the end of the game, and things are generally heating up. The storyline has gotten better, and I am actually starting to find some guns that don't suck a bag of Fuzzy Bunny. I'm moderately excited to replay with my current character, will almost certainly try out a new character after I finish, either Siren or Zer0. Or just put it down and get back to Madden til the mechromancer comes out.

I'm also thinking of respeccing points just to try out different combinations. Right now, I have some sunk into gunpowder for impact and overload, just so I'm not a walking meatbag while my turret recharges, but the rest are in guerrilla. It seems the game somewhat punishes diversity, as it seems plain that you can't reach the top tier of abilities (or just barely) in your first playthrough unless that's the *only* tree you invest in. Decisions, decisions.

The fact that the levelling is capped so you cannot get two top tier abilities at all isn't great... two turrets both deployed with nukes would be pretty fun... but I suppose I shall respec after level 31 if I want to try a new one out. Agreed that it doesnt seem like they can be unlocked until end of the first playthrough though, but playing co-op does aid that a bit.

I suppose with regards to ammo/health regen for the soldier, it seems like the best combination would be to have the shield whichs absorbs ammo, plus points invested in the perks which give health regen when shield is full, plus increased shield regen when killing enemies. The three should compliment each other nicely (and the turrets have ammo if you are out of bullets so enemies will still EAT LEAD!)

To be honest though, when facing a difficult opponent, I advise everyone to KILL IT BEFORE IT LAYS EGGS!

It's getting better for me. Still annoys me at times but not bad.

I did find a 1730 base damage rocket launcher today. Takes out those annoying shielded badass nomads in two hits.

I have a 3000 base damage one I'm saving for my gunzerker friend next time he is online

Hot damn nice!

I'm just to the point of having saved a certain vault hunter. Doing side quests right now.

Yep, I have a launcher with a base damage of 2800 or so...I might have scrapped it for a nice assault rifle though.

Will make a push to beat the game today.

EDIT: Beat the game. Currently lv 33 on next playthrough. Just trying to find some rarer guns and get to/near the cap for when there's some new DLC. Found a rocket launcher that does 14k damage. >:D

Ending was pretty good. That's all I really have to say. I'm still playing, so that must mean something.

Just got this for pc, level 22 with zero at the mo. I'm finding it more fun than the 1st game, not sure why though.

Just beat the game last night myself, lvl 33 Gunzerker. Gonna see about farming some bosses before doing NG+ because most of my guns got outdated REAL fast towards the end except for a 1600 dmg AR I found.
