Done and done. I guess this is what happens when you put together an unwinnable game.

For the record, I really was trying to play with the town. I genuinely believed that we could (and would) win with the town. However, when I got back over my PMs, I read first that Top and I must be 50% of the population to win. Then Godders sent me a PM saying that Top and I must be the last two remaining alive to win. I also should mention that initially, he said I couldn't talk to anyone outside the thread and that I wouldn't be told who my partner was, but then he sent me a PM saying that if we both survived til N2 we could talk to eachother outside the thread.

Though top's obvious rolefish was obvious, and we hardly needed to talk outside the thread.

Overall...I think I played pretty damn well. I must say that I like Godders as a person, and appreciate his work for the site....but this game was handled very poorly. It goes up there with the one where Monk accidentally killed off Tru Ninja then brought him back to life, and the game hosted by Top (?) that was ultimately forgotten due to inactivity. Though that wasn't entirely his fault, as I recall, deadlines were stretched to astronomical levels.

Here's my initial role pm:

No.

Your partner knows of your existance, but not who you are.

Only you out of your partner win with the Mafia, but neither of you count towards the Mafia members. But you partner can both count to Village members and wins with the village.

It's very circumstantial, but once there is only one alignment Mafia/Village/Other left, with you and your partner as 2 people out of 4 or less people remaining. But i will send you another PM with what would happen in certain circumstances if you and your partner got to the last day.

You "partner" will be given a copy of this, and for added fun if you both make it to Night 2, you will be told who your partner is, and from that point onward you may communicate with eachother.

Godders stick to the KISS (Keep it simple, stupid) acronym in future, it will serve to make for a better game. It was your first time hosting and I've never hosted so I don't feel I can criticise your effort, I just think you were overly ambitious with the roles.

Seriously guys, why would you even entertain the idea of me committing suicide? I had practically zero suspicion. I'm a really bad player as Mafia but I'm not that bad. Besides, the pages you guys posted said I'd live if I attempted to recruit a Doctor, and we all knew Top was the doctor, so why would I go to COD? I'm really surprised no one realized that none of that actually added up.

Speaking of which, it's also dumb that COD was even given the chance to accept if he shot me before I walked in the door.

This post makes a LOT of sense, and this question was on my mind through the whole game, though given my nature you can imagine why I didn't bring it up.

I really was baffled why you'd sacrifice your own life, and why you'd recruit COD of all people. And whether or not he shot you, and WHY IN THE HELL Godders told us he was the yakked mafia. I guess he was trying to save face when really, it made things worse.

I sorta believed that train of thought, but it got the better of me when I chose to believe COD wasn't converted as a result of shooting you. As stated, it comes as a shock that he gets converted if you die upon entering the door.

I went for COD because I figured he would be one of the most likely ones to accept, but if the role was actually what you guys posted, it would've been a extremely dumb decision, yeah. Night 1 I didn't recruit anyone for fear that the person I'd pick would probably shoot me as soon as I walked in the door. Night 2 we'd already lost two of four people so I decided to recruit COD, and got shot as soon as I walked in the door, apparently. Not my brightest moment.

Not sure if deliberate or accidental, but I did utilize both. I watched Monk for obvious reason, his role was mine watered down, watched (effectively tracked) Aragorn, because he was staying under the radar hard. I knew he was a PR or Mafia. After the yak I figured it was Kikori or Dr. Henry because of their night protection, figured not Kikori because he was adamant on the Aragorn lynch. When I saw Riptide visit Kikori the next night that effectivly tied up all the loose ends. Figured Kik and I might as well kill ourselves and get a Town/Jekyll/Hyde win. I guess not.
