He was about as cryptic about his role as CODfisherMW2 was. Said he had one, didn't elaborate past that. My focus on the day was working out possible liars between you, me, and Henry after having temporarily withheld my role's night-time usefulness. Turned out neither of us were likely lying to start with and Godders is just a poor host when it comes to role balance, but hey, results were gotten in the end. I'd assumed Day Three could be spent dealing with the rest of people who didn't outright claim a role. "Yakuza", however, is a first for me. So yeah, now I know to be paranoid in the future about Mafia recruitment as well when roles start seeming far too numerous.
And not to play the blame game. But it's hard to scrutinize people when the focus was already on Monk's death, fueled further by Penguin's proof against him. I was glad (even excluding Penguin's "watching") with instead having looked back and get the read on Aragorn I did--bet you now before he flips he comes up Mafia, you night kill Rex, and we go on a hunt for whoever was Yakked into having a red name.

So, Lander. Your vote?

Dr Henry, was walking home from seeing the hanging of Aragorn Ix, when he was stopped by a tall, muscular man. Before Dr Henry could do anything, the man began repeatedly beating him, before quickly leaving, luckily for him he had his trusty body armour on.

8 people still alive, 5 votes required for a lynch.

So we had a Henry proved invincible. It stands to reason this was an attack by Lander--the Mafia wouldn't need to confirm Henry like this.

Of course my doing. We know who/what ex rex is. No reason to waste a lynch or a kill on him at this point. I was both testing Doc's claim, and confirming he was not the yakked townie. Not he hasn't been playing a great game, but he's as likely as anyone to be yakked.

The absence of a kill means several things, but I've about had it with Riptide and COD's silence. I will see one of you lynched and the other nightkilled if you don't get in here and claim.

It's worth noting that there may be no more mafia left, hence the absence of a nightkill. I guess we await Penguinguy and the jailer's reports. Jaron's ability might have been recruit X, die on Night X. Monk was the only mafioso without a role, he might have recruited him. Though 4 mafia in a 14 person game is pretty standard. The absence of their nightkill is a real head scratcher, so I hope one of our investigatory roles has some useful info. Of course, they might have withheld it to mess with us, but at this point, they should have killed off someone else (Penguin especially) or taken another crack at Top and I.

At any rate, we might need to get rid of all third parties as Top said. My town win condition states that top and I must be 50% of the remaining town for BOTH of us to win, meaning in order for that to happen we have to wittle our numbers down to two. Top just wins with the town, from what I understand. My win condition is harder to achieve, hence me being Mr. Hyde. It seems clear that the town still wins in this instance.

I will come out and say that I had/have a mafia win condition, but I never wanted to achieve it and it also seems that it results in a loss for Top. Ignore this piece of information, as it's largely irrelevant at this point, it's just an FYI. I think my play and actions speak for themselves.

Told you I was bulletproof (although technically I have body armour... wasn't shot at all. Godders failed at being technical). LOL at Lander being tall and muscular.

Lack of night-kill could have been intentional. Who would they pick? Kikori - bomb. Me - they'd just be confirming me as town. Lander/Top - 50% chance of hitting whoever Top is protecting.

Then they would have to choose one of the other 3 people, out of the 4 I haven't named. If the mafia isn't Penguin, they can't kill penguin because of the suspicious he was yakked. If they kill off the jailkeeper, it will just mean that there is a 1/3 chance of us finding them today, rather than 1/4 with us also possibly hitting our own power roles.

and of course, if PG is still town tracker, he might see them move and therefore give the game away. They haven't really got much chance left. To be honest, they never had a chance. Two night roles who cannot be killed, plus a vigilante who is going to be protected most nights. This game isn't balanced.

I watched Henry, I can confirm that this was Lander's doing. I saw Henry meet Landerpurex. Aside from me, I saw Henry and Kikori as most likely to be yakked, since both of them are unnightkillable.

We should probably have the jailkeeper report, they might have stopped the mafia kill.

It's funny. If he flips Mafia, it means my early thoughts against him were right, but for the wrong reasons.
Of course, hypotheticals assuming there's a lie. If he flips town, it means COD was most likely the protected party instead of the roleblocked party. Lesser chance of Riptide falsely claiming Jailkeeper, but COD would have to flip Jailkeeper for that to be the case.

As for "If COD is the last Mafia and we only have Ex Rex's cult to go, which Lander can kill in the night". That leaves us at six players, one of which is a Townie-minded third party and five of which are townies. What do? I don't like the idea of martyring two of our most helpful players this game just to win it, and I don't know if Godders will arbitrarily up and say "Mr. Hyde gets his sanity under control, between the protection of his partner Dr. Jekyll and a ready jail cell when feeling particularly aggressive. Village wins!"

So what happens endgame? Kill off two townies to let Lander and Top get an MVP-style victory, kill Lander off for third-party reasons, or let the game run forever until Godders gets the hint that everyone's happy with the outcome?

There aren't that many ways to interpret that. "I would have counterclaimed Lander if he claimed Paranoid Gun Owner" explains your previous behavior and the quote, under the best case scenario for you.
It also gives me a decent idea why the Mafia chose you. You were somewhat free of suspicion once Monk claimed and our focus turned, had a role, hinted at it, and would play retribution against Lander if he hit you in the night. It is not a role I see being stopped or altered by being converted to Mafia.

Paranoid Gun Owner... don't they sit in the corner with a gun pointed at the door, shooting anyone that enters.

Would include shooting Sayaka if he were to come to try to yak him. IIRC, Sayaka died from gunshot wounds. Yakuza should realistically fall on their swords I think.

If COD isn't trying to claim Jailkeeper, then Riptide must not be lying about that. The way I see it, it is possible that COD prevented the Yakking by shooting Sayaka straight away... in which case I think we must have gotten rid of all the mafia by now, right? Or if not, Ex Rex is lying about being a cultist and is actually the last mafia.

Thoughts? I'm torn between COD and Ex Rex right now. I don't see how you can yak a 'noid gun owner. The other possibilities are that PG or Kik were yakked, as they wouldn't prevent the yakking, but it is hard to tell.
