Before anyone complains about fearmongering or says "Lol Fox", it's all already happened.

Additionally,

He was right.

I was hoping for a table flip at the end.

Anyway, back on topic: Ron Paul is the one candidate that I actually feel like supporting. Usually, I hate everyone, so I don't waste my time throwing votes around because I "should vote, it's my privilege as an American." But Ron Paul seems to agree with a lot of my views, and we definitely need a 3rd party candidate because the Republicans and Democrats can't seem to agree on anything anymore.

Ron Paul is the closest thing we have to a pure libertarian candidate that has a chance of making it onto the ballot. That said, of course I'll need to see who the republican candidate will be and what his policies are. But it's a good bet that I'm going to support Ron Paul...

Even though he's totally crazy.

And I hate people that cram voting down my throat. Contrary to what you said, Tanks, voting is a right, not a privilege. Everyone says how it's soooo important for young people to go out and vote. Fuzzy Bunny that. I withhold my vote out of protest for the desolate political situation in this goddamn country. But I do go out and vote for the presidential election. To which all of my peers act like they're having a heart attack when they find that I voted for Mccain and not Obama. Seriously. They act like I murdered someone and then had sex with their body, then mutilated it, then cooked it up and ate it and then fed some to some kids.

College kids around my campus are so politically blind that it's kind of sad. They're so caught up in being progressive, edgy, and just generally liberal that they fail to see any of the real issues.

Because in a republic, the head of state is the only individual that warrants this much attention from voters.

Actually, Fox Business is typically regarded as the closest thing the Libertarians have to a dedicated news channel. At least by those on r/Libertarian and r/ronpaul. So anybody that says "Lol Fox" when they see Fox Business is probably uninformed. That said, that video is truly the Plain Truth. The plain, sad truth. MSNBC has tried at every possible time to trash Ron Paul on bull Fuzzy Bunny reasons. While Fox and CBS have just outright ignored his existence. It's pathetic.

Ron Paul has a few things going for him. He's not a scumbag who just says different things to different groups of people to get votes. He has a realistic view on foreign policy and social freedom, which is a lot more important to me than economic policy. The way I see it, a successful non-interventionist foreign policy by itself will go a long way toward fixing any economic woes.

The head of state is the only individual that warrants this much attention when he's the only person who a significant percentage of people are eligible to vote for. There are a lot of scumbags in Congress, but to devote anywhere near this much attention to 535 people who all play fairly minor roles by themselves would be impossible.

Well, at least you're extremely well-informed as to how a constitutional republic is supposed to function.

:spite:

That's the point. The federal government has been deviating from the Constitution over and over again. Some of us are sick of it.

How exactly would you suggest the federal government better abide by the Constitution?

I don't care for Ron Paul. His foreign policy in particular.
The whole isolationism, lets cut our military to nothing, legalize everything...
I know he could never get 99% of what he says passed and that's the problem.
He'd never get to shut down all the bases around the world.
We're not going to legalize all drugs or whatever.

But he has the most self-destructive foreign policy I've ever seen. This is counting Joe Biden randomly insulting nations or the Obama apology tour.

So, who would you like to see? The statists who will make more horrible policy just because they can get something done easily? That's not a smart way to vote.

What a world it would be if the common person who ranted about foreign policies would then be obligated to represent their country to other nations.

Oh, there I go advocating things like personal responsibility and accountability again.

All of this just reminds me that I really want to leave the UK during the next general election...

I won't be voting because.....again......it seems all possible parties are full of idiots with more money than brains. Ron Paul would be the only one to get my vote, if I actually gave a damn. The President is a figurehead of the government.

Worry more about the idiots in Congress.
