Why do you need storage? Just throw your stuff on the ground anywhere, they'll stay there.

I once threw some armour on the ground in a room in the Riverwood Inn... some guy runs into the room and stops me asking whether he can have it o.O

Not always. Better safe than sorry, especially with your really valuable stuff or alternate sets of equipment.

That's...really hilarious. Possibly the funniest thing I've heard other than the banter in the thieve's guild about bedding ten women at once. And the drunken singing of unsuspecting bandits. :awesome:

Was doing the Thieves Guild entry quest once on a character who despite having lots of stolen equipment, was quite the failure of a thief. Finally gave up pick pocketing and wanted to see what happened if I used my Morrowind method of comitting crimes, in which I would throw all of my stolen loot on the ground and THEN do whatever it was I was going to do. Guards run up to me and tell me to quit littering and to pick it up, I do, then incur a massive bounty for restealing my litter...

Speaking of which, does anyone know the actual formula used for pickpocketing odds? It's obviously not "64%" chance, because it's almost always guaranteed failure from my experience...

In my experience, the percentages have been accurate.

Mine as well. Mine's currently 90% for most things and seems to be spot on.

This is gonna be a stupid question, but are you sure you're hidden when you do so? If anyone sees you do it, it will fail.

You got to remember, that percentages are just probability. I remember when I had 80% for the first quest of pickpocketing in the Thieves Guild and I had to restart that part 8 times, I was also hidden before anyone ask, hell in this quest you're assure you're hidden since everyone else was been distracted. So even if I was assure to pass the check the first time, it didn't happen. Damn probability, even at 99% you will still fail that 1%

I'm plenty hidden, believe me. Most of the characters I've done pickpocketing with have a sneak in the 70's by that point. Just seems like anything less than 90% is assured failure 9/10 times.

That happened to me in Windhelm. He never did take it though, and the stuff is still there... :?:

I noticed when I FIRST get 90% for pickpocketing it still fails often, but then later it rarely fails. I don't know lol.

One more dragon mask to collect! It's a lot more fun when you do everything yourself, and not refer to a wiki or something.

+1

Though sometimes it can't be avoided. I got most of the masks following Arngeir's advice on words of power.

The internet is extremely helpful for digging up the right console commands to fix all the (gamebreaking) bugs that pop up.

So did I, I think it counts towards doing everything yourself

So, I started over on Skyrim, this time making an Imperial character who uses restoration, plus one handed weapons, and a bow at times. She is currently wearing light armor, but I may switch to heavy on her... not sure yet. xD

I'm considering a Nord warrior-orientated character or a Khajiit theif-orientated character next. So far, warrior is winning.

I'm a Nord warrior. Heavy armor, one handed weapons, shield, and I LOVE the bow.

Suck at pickpocketing. Rule at lockpicking (thank you Fallout series).

The day I maxed smithing was the best day of my life. Though dragon armor is hardly worth it. Daedric is where it's at.
