Sure beats losing 62.

Just started the College of Winterhold, it's not bad. Seems like you do all the mage's guild stuff in one housing instead of five all over the place.

I can't stand my barbarian anymore. Anyone know how well a restoration + mace character works? I want to try and make a cleric.

I use restoration on all characters. Don't feel like having 100 pounds of potions, but the ones I find I keep for emergencies. First perks I go for are novice/apprentince and then 50% more healing and heal stamina (if i use stamina).

I've been able to get my Conjuring up pretty high. All from repeatedly summoning dual swords.

Finally have Skyrim :D Going as a thieving archer Wood Elf, as I never used archery or wood elves in Oblivion... any advice on things to do to make the best possible archer? I'm only level 6, with 34 archery and I have the zoom-in perk :) Pretty lame equipment at the moment though, and i have to switch to a long-sword if there are multiple foes attacking me in close-combat :/

Lots and lots of points into sneak. Alchemy is fun too, if you have frenzy poisons to attach to your arrows. Fortify marksman is incredible for increasing damage on top of that. The Dark Brotherhood gets you a pretty good bow about halfway through their questline, and their armor alone fortifies your archery damage (moreso with the upgraded stuff). The fact that their boots muffle is icing on the cake (makes a huge difference if you don't feel like putting too many perks into sneak).

One of my early characters used archery, but was more of an assassin. I would get somebody's attention by shooting them with an arrow, and then hide by a doorway closer to them. As they would walk by, I'd stab them with the daggers for x30 damage. That's how I'd handle multiple foes.

How do you start the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim?

I'm level 8, 31 sneak, 36 archery :) I was never very good at Alchemy on oblivion though... any advice? o.O

You get a misc quest when doing rumors in any bar, so check every war for the correct one, if you one a specific one do this; do rumours though, there's more misc quest that way that lead to other plots
Hidden:
Go to Riften and talk to every NPC or head towards the Orphanage and watch what happens
Alternative go to Windhelm and go walking around until you see two people talking about a plot

Alchemy is a lot harder to level in this one because you can't just buy a bunch of food and make restore fatigue anymore. Best advice: Pick everything, eat it once, then mix everything you can. Do your best to experiment, and make potions with multiple effects (they net you more experience on top of being worth more). Use three ingredients whenever possible. This is also a good way to discover effects; do your regular simple potions, then just add a third ingredient with unknown effects to the mix. Recipes are also awesome if you don't feel like cheating by looking online. They can get pricey, but alchemy has such a high profit margin if you're halfway decent that it doesn't matter too much.
