Back when the E3 teaser came out in 2009 I was instantly hooked with the storyline alone, then the 2009 trailer got about 50 views from me that day.The 2010 trailer was meh (if youre wondering where you've heard that voice its the Halo 2 lead brute). It should be coming out this year but that is from wiki... If this isn't going to be on xbox live I see a shiny new computer in my future just to run it. It says on the official site that the campaign can be played alone but the game is still an MMORPG... Star Wars version of Guild Wars anyone?

Star Wars: The Old Republic official website
SW:TOR's wiki page

Starwoids unite!

PS: Bethesda and Lucasarts need to make a star wars version of TES and Fallout that doesn't require dice rolling during combat... just sayin...

Depending on the price and system reqs, I may be getting this. I love the KOTOR series, and this sounds like an awesome addition to that.

Does Bioware know how to make amazing trailers or what? Will probably buy this if I end up having the cash and the reviews are decent.

Well I saw a preview of the female trooper class and the graphics look slightly worse than the current Guild Wars graphics. If videos of the gameplay after release are good I will definately buy it week 1...

Bioware doesn't make the trailers, BLUR does. But yeah, they're amazing.

Also, wasn't this game announced as F2P with microtransactions?

There's some pretty good spoiler free gameplay here for anyone who's interested. Mostly just some level 1-5 playthroughs right now but he'll be uploading the dungeon run that I watched on his livestream yesterday pretty soon.

It's pretty amazing just how seamlessly this game is able to merge the RPG and MMO genres into one experience.

After mulling it over, I finally preordered the game, due to Killa saying how much of a good game it is. I'm not really a big star wars fan, but I guess I'll see how this will turn out. Judging by the clips on youtube, and stuff, I guess it could turn out good. :)

So been playing a bit of it after gaining early access... And I have to say that I quite like the gameplay. I've created one republic character and one empire character. I am liking the class story quests that go along with the game, as well as the choices you get to make, especially when working with a group.

Just got this the other day. Ordered it in the mail from Amazon but it never came, thankfully they gave me a refund. I had to end up downloading it and buying a CD key online.

Currently playing a Jedi Sentinel on Krath and loving it so far.

Its a fun game, heavy on the story and dialog. has a few bugs and things that need to be implemented but its only over 1 month old.

It has quite a few bugs, most of them decreasing my overall enjoyment slightly. I still like the game, but I don't play it obsessively. I have had it since the release date, and my highest character is only level 35 (Jedi Sage), on Hoth right now.

I play on the Krath server.
