IMHO Minecraft is a good direction to go in. Sure, not everyone on Rv plays Minecraft, but does everyone on RV still play Runescape?

We need to start talking about the village to more people. Spread the word! Make people aware of the village. It wasn't very popular the first day of release. But it got popular somehow!

For the last couple weeks I have been talking to 1 person about the village per time I log into RS. Even if they turn out to be the kind of person that dopesnt like it here, o well! Literally. Its no worse. If they like it and stay. Wonderful

And this. I make an effort to post in every thread I'm interested in when I log on, but it doesn't do any good when there are no new responses. And though I'd say the games discussion forum has seen an increase in activity, everything else remains the same or has gotten worse. I couldn't agree with Goten's OP more, except I'm a bit more pessimistic.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I understand the need to move on from Runescape for a number of reasons, but we've spread ourselves way thin. I feel like the captain of a sinking ship...doomed to go down with it as it goes glubglubglub. We honestly have NOTHING to offer outsiders. Nothing. The community is what everyone cites as our specialty, but it takes time and effort to become part of it, or even to get to know it. We have nothing to grab new users. There are huge amounts of gaming sites with many more features.

And of course this place was more active right after the hiker incident, it was big news. And everyone was charged up with new direction mania but that has since died down, like everything else.

I'm trying my best to do as much as I'm able, but with the new direction the RVET is floundering trying to find a new way to bring everyone together, but we're trying. The villager: forget about it. Our leader hasn't posted on the forum in weeks, and one of our new leading writers has since quit RV.

The future is bleak. RV is a husk of its' former glory, and it saddens me every day. I'm one person, are YOU doing your part for this site?

I'm sick of the "boo-hoo, RV isn't the past" crap. Stop letting that rule your thinking and just enjoy yourself. All you will do is dig yourself into a psychological hole and never see past it even when stuff "gets better."
