Lenkai, I study Industrial Design at one of the best Art Schools in Ohio, I have access to the entire Adobe Creative Suite as well as several other drawing programs. And I have no problem using MS Paint lol.

It's just meant to be a fun little game that's accessiblt to everyone which is why generally these things are done in Paint. I personally don't care what program they're done in however, so as long as everyone else is ok with the use of whatever programs we have I am ok with it as well.

Map coming shortly everyone.

Name: Kotomi.

Weapons: Look at the picture.

Age: 16-17ish.

Bio: Kotomi comes from the Year 3744, an age where the human race is somehow still suffering the aftereffects of the great wars of painting. She is hoping to change things by returning to the past to participate in the 7th war. -Insert cheesy, cliche of life story, blah blah blah-

There, I'm ready. Feel free to use some cheesy stick figure if you can't recreate it in scenes, or just happen to be too lazy to bother. :weird:

Actually, I ran out of space for her shoes and was too lazy to extend the space to add them. :?:

Map is done:

Image

Just a quick explanation of the areas on the map.

Impassible Mountains - Just like it says, you can in no way leave over these mountains. Once you are in the valley you are there until only one person remains alive.

Volcano Peak - The very tip of the largest mountain in the valley, it has a crater in the center that is full of Magma

Magma Cavern - This cave leads to the crater of Volcano Peak as well as branching off into several other tunnels that lead to other areas in the valley.

??? - A mysterious hole that appears to have been smashed into the ground by some incredibly strong power.

Drop Dead Ledge - Named because the drop from here is into the lake below. Can be reached through the air or by one of the tunnels in the valley.

Leviathan Lake - A large lake that fills one end of the valley and butts up against the Dark Forest.

Leviathan - A large serpentine like creature that has inhabited the lake for millenia. He has magic in his veins, which is one of the things that makes him so dangerous.

Abandoned Tower - A very old tower that pre-dates any other structure in the valley. It's purpose is lost to time, and now it only stands to serve as an amazingly cool battle ground for powerful beings.

Grass Fields - The majority of the valley is a grass field, full of small wildlife and peacefully swaying knee high grass.

Dark Forest - A very old forest filled with ancient trees that have lived for ages. Some of the trees are inscribed with odd runes that are remnants of a once proud but now dead civilization.

Castle Ruins - the remains of a once proud human settlement, what caused their dissaperence is unknown. However the castle they left behind is the perfect area for combat.

Valley Entrance - The only way into and out of the Valley, once you walk through you stay inside until everyone else is dead.

Cannon Fodder - These guys are the main "enemy" of the early game. For the first few pages we will be limited to fighting these guys alone as a way to show off and establish our characters and some of their powers.

I plan to update the map as we battle, so if someone destroys part of the forest I will edit the map to show that. At the start of the game, for probably the first couple of pages I am limiting who you can fight/kill to the Cannon Fodder and the Leviathan. Keep in mind however that the Leviathan is supposed to be a harder enemy to kill so it would be a good idea to perhaps team up with someone to fight it.

If you have any questions let me know.

Awesome map.

Quick questions:

Q: How tall is the tower?

Q: What buildings are within the Castle?

Name: Caecus

Abilities: A blind-fighter, Caecus can "see" by a form of Psionic power what's within five feet of him, and must rely on a mixture of hearing and vibration sensing otherwise. The Psionic power he uses to perceive his immediate surroundings only becomes an offensive power if he focuses on his weapon.

Weapon: Runite hook, held on a Steel chain. The hook's ring for the chain is big enough to accommodate two fingers, and with the curve above the blade having a groove for the thumb, the hook becomes an effective short blade when needed.

I should of frased what I said better. What I meant by not wanting to use MS paint is that if I'm going to be spending time on a comic then I would like to use that time to work on my skills, MS paint isn't applicable to that.. I'm a traditional artist (drawing/painting) and I'd much rather spend my time working on those skills, or using the time to try and learn how to use the few drawing programs that I have because I'm very unfamiliar with them

Yeah, nor I, sorry. I would LOVE to join but looking back on past Paint Wars topics, I would be far more of a hindrance to the thread than anything else. :P (And by that I mean I'd end up being largely inactive for lack of time.)

I wasn't sure if I should put you guys or not, but I figured it was just a list of interested people so I added you. No harm done lol.

Lenkai - I understand, and like I said, I am fine with whatever programs we have being able to be used as long as no one else objects to it.

Noob - I figured the tower would be about 150 Feet tall or so. And for the castle, outside there is a horse training area which is the dirt patch, and next to that is a barn and stables.

The gate only has the two towers which are about 25 Feet tall each with just a staircase inside that leads to the top. The top of the gate itself being 22 feet tall with a pathway across the top of it that connects the gate towers.

The tower at the back of the castle is 75 Feet tall which would be divided into 6 floors along with a top level deck.

The castle main would be three floors, the main floor would be the dining hall, a kitchen, and a broom closet. Second floor is all bedrooms, and top floor is a pidgen coop which is the small brown thing and a covered lounge of sorts.

Anyways, I will be making my character and then updating the first post with everyone elses. So if you are wanting to play and havn't made a character yet please do so soon and get it posted up so we can get the game going.

NP Scar. Tbh I would have joined if I were a little less busy these days. I'll definitely keep up with the topic, though. :awesome: Good luck.

Alright, I'm joining then. Count me in! As long as no one minds me using something besides MS paint. Depending on the week it will be either scanned paintings or something done with MyPaint (or Gimp, or if I feel like trying vector art then Inkscape).

I'll start working on my character tonight :^_^:

Pffffffffft. MS Paint is completely applicable to the development of artistic skill. In fact, if you can draw well in MS Paint, it's pretty much a testament to your skill as a graphics artist in general.

Wanting to learn programs is fine, but development of raw talent is just as important - No filters or special brushes to help you out. MS Paint is where the the big dawgs carve out their abilities and rise above all others as the grandest digital artists of their time.

Not that I'm against you using another program or anything. I considered using Photoshop myself. I'm just saying that MS Paint isn't some sin or hindrance - The only time that's really true is if you rely too heavily on those filters and brushes of other programs.

I had considered using Photoshop or Illustrator as well, but then I made that map and remembered how much fun Paint is :P

Not a huge fan of the new version of MSpaint. I prefer my old skewl version better.

Sorry about the quality, last time I really drew in paint was... well... Paint Warz 6. Will try my best to keep in this.
