It was good, not amazing, but I enjoyed it. Some bugs with the last act (The ending especially, which sucked even without the bugs) kinda broke the immersion. However, nothing was really BAD about it. I got bored in Dragon Age: Origins because the quests dragged on FOREVER, but that didn't happen this time. I still wish that they had left some other features from the first one in it though...

So is it worth the 60-70 bucks or can I wait for the 30 buck version like I did with the Ultimate Version of DAO?

If you waited for DA:O, you don't have enough motivation to buy it new then. There is a demo of DA2 so play that before you decide to wait or buy now.

I'm enjoying it so far. Picked it up on Thursday, sank maybe five hours or so into it so far. Combat is meh...I can't decide whether I like the new action RPG style or if I prefer the old automatic style...

I do enjoy the voice overs and the voice acting, it isn't bad at all. I'm not so far into it that I can say much about the story, but I preordered it and I'm going to keep playing, so yeah...I do enjoy the new skill system. Very well done.

Cons so far: The world seems terribly small. There are some glitches and bugs but nothing that's too distracting.

More to come. :D

So i borrowed this from a friend about a month ago thinking it would be somthing to play until I could afford to buy something else.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by it, the only thing that really frustrated me about ti was that it ended lol. I put around 40 hours into the game and I still want more of the story line.

Although i hear there is some DLC coming out later this year, and I purchased the Ultimate Edition of the first game the other night for cheap so I will have that to play to hold me over.

If the about 4 different locations you could go to of DA2 didn't bore you, then you will love DA Origins. It's a lot better than 2, and the story is a little deeper.
Although gameplay-wise it's not like DA2 at all, so don't expect that :)

Some friends had mentioned that the combat was different, I am really looking forward to doing another play through of DA2 with an imported save after finishing DAO+DLC however.

Don't expect to be finished anytime soon, with the (really really awesome and huge) DLC I'm guessing 50 or more hours if you do a big part of the sidequests like me :) Money well spent!

I'm going to go back and play through all the Origins and awakening side quests. As cool as the combat was in DA2 I liked the older story and quests later.

Anders was a little annoying bugger. Even though he was good to have in my party.

His annoying factor far outweighed his prowess in battle...if you knew how to level the elf girl, she was much better. Virulent walking bomb ftw.

Though the storyline from Origins and Awakening was far superior...the gameplay and length of the damn dungeons was better in DA2. Hopefully in any next installments, we'll get a perfect mixture of both.

I actually preferred DA2 over Origins, although the repetitiveness of the landscape bugged me. Maybe it's because I played a warrior in Origins and hated it, and played a Mage in DA2.

I have to say, I started playing Origins, and while it is great to have a bunch of different areas, the game just plays so boringly slow. If I could have Origins with the combat system of 2 I would be supremely happy.

I'm playing through Origins at the moment and I'm loving it. Despite the fact I gave up being a reaver and i'm doing a Champion/beserker spec. First play through and all that.
Apparently some people don't believe me when I say I defeated the High Dragon guarding the ashes. All I can say, constant freeze is awesome.

It's not hard at all, especially on casual. I went back and did it on moderate or whatever and it was a bit of a challenge, but not impossible. Hard mode was a joke.
