Offer: new server for old Java chat client

Is there any reason we couldn't move back over to meepchat as it is? Sure you'll loose the quotes and probably meepbot and his commands.. but as I understand it this flash chat drains a great deal of resources. I know I'm not alone when I say I'd rather a half way finished meepchat compared to what we have now. As long as essential bans, mutes, disables (oh how I miss thee) are up and running to take care of Jackstick and his attitude. As for the bell, a mass beep is just as effective so nothing really lost there.

I agree. Especially if everything else can be added fairly easily later on, and the Logs are almost 100% complete, I think we should move to the Newold Chat.

I'd rather have a chatroom I don't have to refresh every 5 minutes over a meepbot that no one uses anymore.

People still use the extra stuff and will want it to be added, but if meepchat is functional, let's use it and add everything extra later.

Can we have it so that when the Newold Chat is open, it says RuneVillage Chat in the Tab, just like the current FlashChat does? Otherwise it's almost identical to the Forums, except it just says RuneVillage twice.

Could we make it so that when you check one of the check boxes on the side, Time Stamp for example, that it will keep that box checked until you yourself uncheck it, instead of each time you log out?

It has the last few times for me as well, I guess it was just once that it didn't?

Yeah, I think the server failed to save the preferences for some reason. I couldn't find anything weird in the logs, so heh...

It's all working fine as far as I can tell.
