Skype is what we'll be using for the campaign, but contacting people can be done through either chat or skype.

I'm going to be studying all week for a physics final on Friday.

Plus I don't have internet right now. :awesome:

Go ahead and start without me. I'll come in at some point.

How long will these usually last? I may have to go at 5pm my time. (An hour and a half after the start time.)

AND HOW!

Pending group approval, tonight's first session will be streamed live on my ustream channel. So come talk about nerd stuff in the ustream chat while you watch us talk (That sounds like fun!). This is in an effort to help those who missed out or didn't want to join in, have fun and experience it nonetheless. (And probably laugh at our failures!)

Currently there are no rules for the ustream chat other than "Don't be a jerk." This is a good rule. I should not have to add any more. Don't make me add any more. Or you will be a jerk. (And be banned).

The link to the live stream is right here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/thyker-s-thunderdome

We will be starting at approximately 5:30pm EST maybe. Or it may never happen.

Pretty fun session tonight. Took a bit to get things rolling, but it'll smooth out as people get the hang of things.

Go ahead and make a character in the character creator, and upload it to iplay4e (links are on page 2). If you need help, go ahead and track me down in chat.

Anyway, we should probably figure out when when we're doing the next session. I'm all for Mondays, but if there's another day people are available, I might be able to do that too.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Session summary:

A group of friends and adventurers trudged through the cold sleeting night, for an unknown purpose. They reached a tower at a bridge, where a group of wolves attacked. Thinking only of slaying them, the group fought back. As the battle crossed onto a bridge, an obnoxious old lady shouted at the group from the top of a nearby tower, ushering them onward. Ignoring her, the group continued to fight.

After a grueling battle in which blows (and dying wolves) flew wildly, the group emerged victorious. Scouring the remains, they were shocked and dismayed to find that all that was on the bodies of the starving wolves was hide and meat. The animals were disposed of in the river, and the group headed toward the tower.

The old bat introduced herself as Treona, as well as her silent associate Kiris Alkirk. She stood and watched as a warlock attempted to hide behind her couch, only to get frustrated and ram his head into the wall in an attempt to fake a seizure, while a ranger performed inexplicable backflips for what could only have been his own amusement.

When the idiocy ended, she announced why she sheltered the group: A ghost town known as Kiris Dahn housed a weapon of incredible power, and she needed some expendable adventurers to bring it to her for destruction. With that, the group rested, and prepared for their mission. It would be tough, but if they ever wanted to shut that obnoxious old lady up, they knew they needed the power of the stone.

NOTE: Anyone playing or wishing to play must know that 1100 xp was gained at the end of the first encounter (I'm doubling experience gains). All players and potential players are level 2, and should level their characters accordingly. The character builder is a great help for this.

I'd be down for 2-3 games a week, at least until around September.

Level 2'd.

My thoughts: The first session was really fun. The encounter was not necessarily easy, and it took awhile, understandably so, we were supposed to run from the pack of wolves. However, through sheer determination and piles of meat, skin, horse and pile, we won.
Was kinda interesting to tackle that without much in the way of warlord. We still did pretty okay, if I say so myself.

Given that it was an encounter we were supposed to avoid, yeah, it went better than could be expected. Admittedly, I didn't do anything of importance until the last turn (where I saved Frost from the last wolf), but it seemed to go all right.

So I can be counted on for Mondays at 2:30/5:30 until September 15th, but it seems that a some of you guys would be happy with multiple days per week. I can do this on a few differnt days sporadically, but it'll only be a couple days advance notice at most. I'm busy every day after 4:00/7:00 for the rest of the week, and all of Saturday and Sunday. I'm working on being free Monday, but I'm availabe late nights 11:00/2:00 any given day.

Good news is after September 15th, I'll be free very often thanks to my school schedule, but I don't know if I would be able to host. From the way gametable worked though, I doubt that I would have to be the one hosting.
