So I just heard not too long ago that they're actually finishing the series off. I haven't watched it in forever but was kinda of looking into getting back into it and what not, but I don't know when the English dubs of the new series is coming out.

Anyone have any lead on this whatsoever?

English Dubs as in Japanese talk, but English subtitles?

OR

English speaking altogether... :o

I have a site somewhere, but i can't find it... The site has all the Final Act episodes speaking English though... Will update later! <3

Dubs = sound dubbing, so the audio
Subs = subtitles in English

So yeah, preferably with the original actors in english! :)
If you have it, I'd actually love you forever.

So now finally, we can play the first two seasons...
and then copy-paste this saga to those
and have an actual show by cutting out the middle nonsense.

If it wasn't such a cash cow, it would have been better to end it much sooner.

Give it a year and they'll probably remake it without all the filler. Sadly the filler arcs seemed better than the actual show...

It's a shame that once again, these links foil me by my nationality >_<

I watched this some time ago, subbed. I really enjoyed it, if it is obviously rushed. The manag series is... 56? volumes long. The original anime, all 167 episodes, cover volumes 1-30 if I recall. Now 167 episodes for 30 volumes of manga isn't bad, as you can get a lot of stuff in that amount of time. Final act is, 24 episodes long I think? and 26 volumes, so a lot cut out unfortunately. That disappointed me a lot, and it is clearly shown in the anime that things are... abbreviated. Things just happen in Final Act, there's no extrapolation like the original, which is a big lose.

Inuyasha as a whole is my second fav anime (after FMA:B) and Final Act is definately a part of that, but I would say it could have been better.

It always suprises me when a thread like this gets revived and I get an email notification.

To have to admit, it's dropped down in positions since last year, lol.

Man, I've been meaning to comment on this thread since its creation haha. Anyway, I saw the Final Act when it came out and I must say, I really did enjoy it but this is coming from a non-manga reader's perspective so undoubtedly they left some things out as Mogo mentioned. With that said, it's not surprising they took that route because the original was so friggen long and I don't the viewers would've put up with say 60+ eps for the final act.

The ending was definitely satisfying to what I would say is an an average-above average series and this is with the nostalgic glasses off :P. However, if someone were to tell me to watch 167+ episodes of an anime, I would say no unless it's really good. A plethora of episodes can be skipped and you'll still have a good understanding of what's going on but the filler episodes weren't really that bad but taking down Naraku got out of hand. I'm glad that I saw it and if were to rewatch the whole series, I probably woouldn't watch all 167 episodes; I'd watch character introductions, the ending of the 1st season, and watch all of the final act. I wouldn't consider InuYasha to be one of my most favs series of all time, if anything, it's definitely one of the most nostalgic for me.

It has been a long time since anyone posted here, but I do agree.
