Well that makes sense, I suppose.

We'll probably get a "It took over and I became the Kyubi" story followed by either Naruto being ok because he locked the Kyubi back up instead of finishing it off or he'll give the Kyubi it's strength back when everything is over.

Notice the new seal on the cage. Naruto can probably draw upon the powers of the Kyuubi at will now.
Also, this explains Kushina's unique chakra that got her kidnapped.
