No Lynch. Why?

We have a 33% of killing the doctor out of people of unconfirmed people.

Actually, there's always the chance that either Lander or Defeat is the doctor, too. That would rely on them roleclaiming and allowing themselves to become a possible martyr.

If neither are the doctor though, 50%. I still stand firmly by the fact that I'm a villager.

I was questioning him before the train ever started, so jumping ship wasn't that much of a stretch. At that time, steely's argument made sense and only served to make Blue commit more mistakes. Couple that with the feelings I already had (quoted above), and yeah, I felt justified in voting for him. Frankly, that was just an ugly lynch in which a lot of mafia members as well as (now confirmed) townies took part in.

kikori wrote:
Getting serious does not translate to getting active. I've been quite active this entire time, but as you've seen, this topic isn't in the twenties for pages. :?: Try responding to that one again.

I don't follow you here. Are you saying I'm not/haven't been serious? It was Tahu and I (and your vote on me) that got things rolling (dare I say) earlier than usual on D1. Also, see my response to that crazy train on me from D2. Other than that, we've had DC oust a mafia member, which ate up a day. Also, you've been harassing me all game long :P, I've hardly had any opportunity to mount any kind of offense. Now that I'm confirmed and you're *slightly* off my back, yes, you'll see a change in my playstyle.

Also, my usual level of "seriousness" involves long-winded posts as well as painstakingly re-reading the thread and assembling evidence. Things I can't do that well when occupied. Again, take it or leave it.

If the Bluecoat train had a lot of everyone, it doesn't serve as proof in any way of the alignment of an unconfirmed player making a vote.

And yes, I'm saying between days one and five, you weren't a very aggressive player despite your day one claim. Also, being attacked should not be a reason to have no chance to mount an offensive. You can write about more than one thing in a post. You practically wrote a novel in a month; reading through eleven pages on a forum to gather data from a bunch of short posts before this can't honestly be that time consuming. You and I together have probably had more to say than most other people combined, and we haven't even said much by our normal standards. If you can afford that kind of talk with me, I just find it tricky to believe there's no time for most of the rest of the game.

Also, directed at the underlined sentence, question. You call it suspicious that I try to do something useful about that very same fact, but make it seem like you can't do anything on a day where a mafia member was brought out. Does it still make me suspicious for not hopping on the lynch due to seeing an opportunity to voice something I thought important enough to look into?

DC, if we no lynch, we're not any further along come tomorrow. :?: We have to take a chance. I figure it's a good idea to leave jack at 3 votes, give him the rest of the day to claim. If he doesn't, and if Scar says he responded to the prod, I'd say that's grounds for someone to hammer.

Anyway, kikori, I've been away from home (out doing things) for about 90% of this game before two days ago. When I was home, I was sleeping or showering, or between things; which was when I was able to make short posts here. I was lucky to be able to do what I did. You can say what you want, but sometimes I spend hours looking through the topic gathering evidence. When I did NaNoWriMo, I had no distractions, and that still took 1.5-2 hours out of every day of the month of November. Don't really know what that has to do with anything. Bottom line, Saturday-Wednesday I simply wasn't near a computer and when I was, I was between things and was soon going somewhere else, or I was ready to go to bed. You can keep speculating and tell me that I should have posted, could have posted, but the bottom line is that I didn't, for reasons that I chose. I'd rather go out with visiting friends than sit in my room poring over this game. There's hardly any evidence to be had anyway, it's likely I'd spend more time trying to make sense of it than actually gathering it. I've given my excuse, there's nothing more for me to say on the topic of inactivity or not being serious or aggressive.

As per your question. I can admit that your reasoning for not voting monk seems solid. I've said that before. But when the dust clears, the bottom line is that you did not vote for him, and he was scum. Regardless of your reasons, the solid evidence is that you weren't on that train. I might also point out that the reasoning "he was a dead man anyway" doesn't quite sit well with me either. Sounds like a cop out if there ever was one.

As far as me making info or whatever, Monk had the votes to be lynched within TWO HOURS of DCs claim. Scar had ended the day five hours after DCs claim. When the detective finds a mafia member, there's no time for anything else really, because everyone is eager to get on the train and lynch the scum. Your idea was ideal, but no one bought it, and that's that.

Also DragonCrusher1 because he voted no lynch and that's obviously something a mafia would do at this point in the game. Totally.

... Perhaps you missed the fact that:
1) I'm the claimed(and confirmed) detective.
2) I've given accurate reports.
3) I was attacked

If we no lynch today, we bypass the chance at a mislynch and gain a detective report.

If there were only four mafia, regardless of my investigation, we can probably out the last mafia member tomorrow.

DragonCrusher1, seems suspicious to me guys. Haha. I know he just said I'm one of the good guys (and I am), so I'll explain:

Yes, I am a villager, but my night action is killing the first person to visit me @ night regardless of affiliation. Now, that said, nobody was killed last night in a manner of how it would look if I had protected myself, and DC somehow visited me and got around it? I think he may be taking educated guesses at this point.

The no-lynch thing is very strange to me, as well. :/

Unvote

Eh. I'd like some questions answered before I vote for DC.

Did someone protect him last night?

Or, you know, the Doctor was protecting me, thus stopping your kill.

However, I'm past the no lynch now.

Jackstick. Claiming to be severely inactive when your response to a prod proves otherwise, trying to shift blame onto me, the closest thing to confirmed there can possibly be at this point while still being alive, and just generally staying out of sight.

Previously you've refrained from posting because you "didn't want to get lynched".
That was fair, but it's different now; the games have changed, just because you post once doesn't mean you're getting lynched.

The people that remain as mafia have probably kept out of sight, while watching the thread and calling the shots.
You fit this description.

WHOOOOA...what?

....actually, it's entirely possible that DC is scum, and that Jaron or Tweedy were the detective, and he took the role for himself. He may have bussed Monk to get us to believe his claim. He could be just now calling out townies at random to remain believable. :>_<:

unvote, til this gets sorted out. Voting for no lynch, defeat's claim now, and wanting to rely on power roles is making DC look suspicious...Let's hope he can shed some light on what defeat is saying. Also, defeat, are you *absolutely sure* that's what your role says? And you haven't already used it on someone? (I don't see where or how he could have, but meh) You could try PM'ing Scar for clarification.

EDIT: ninja-ed. I *don't* think that's how the doctor works, and if you were attacked, we should have been told. :?: Also, I'm leaving my previous post the way it is. Some of it is now irrelevant, but meh.

Correction. Rather, I haven't the slightest idea as to how you could have tried to investigate Defeat, gotten attacked, gotten fixed up by the doctor, and still have gotten a reading on Defeat. Call it semantics, but I think someone here is lying.

I don't either, I know for a fact that I am the doctor, and I investigated defeat last night.
Either Defeat used his ability already, or Scar made an error.

If Scar made a mistake, I would trust that he would make that known to us. Aside from that, I'd ask defeat to PM Scar and see if he did make an error, and to see if his ability has been used already.

But, none of the dead townies had roles, so none of those could have been the kill. The only one that makes sense is Steely, but again, if defeat were attacked we should have been told. If not us, then he certainly should have been told via PM.

Any of the possible answers to this conundrum are obscured by the fact that someone should have been told something, either via announcement in the main thread or in a PM from Scar. :?:

A question I had posted further back was something to the effect of: If someone gets killed will they always show up in their house, or can they be found elsewhere.

Scar has responded to this, and didn't want to reveal my role, so he pm'ed me instead of posting his answer here.

From his answer, I in no way, shape, or form think that my self protection has already happened/been triggered/ nor do I think I've been visited @ night.

If I had been, my understanding from the message Scar sent me is that, he would have said so, plain as day. There would have been SOME mention of those types of events a.k.a: my self protection, someone dying from my self protection, someone being saved from dying from my self protection, etc.

So you're saying your ability hasn't been used, and also that DC did not visit you last night. DC is insisting that he visited you. If that were true and you were telling the truth, he'd either be dead or stitched up, according to your role.

....I'm not ready to bank on DC as scum. He's exhibited townie behavior a thousand times over, including voting for both scum as well as staying off the blue train. That's the kicker, if he were scum, he'd most likely have voted for blue as well. But man, if I'm wrong, I'm going to rage hard at the end of this game.

I would be ready to accuse Defeat of lying. Claiming such a role to try and keep from being investigated...but the fact of the matter is, DC somehow still got a villager reading on him.

Shall we come full circle and try to get PenguinGuy to post? Other than that, I'm at a complete loss here.
