Last time I returned to Runescape I set a goal for myself to achieve 99 strength while remaining a f2p player. I ended up falling out of the Runescape loop again and my goal was never reached. When I logged in the other day for the first time in 222 days (according to RS), I was at 81 strength, and I am now at 83. The goal for myself is once again to reach 99 strength in f2p.

The plan is to train on Ice Giants/Warriors all the way up to 99 strength. I have 70 attack and defence to accompany my strength and I'm buying and eating all the tuna in the entire world of Gielinor. I make decent GP (avg. around 10k in alched items a trip) and the XP is decent as well. If anyone has a more efficient way of getting to 99 then by all means let me know :)

I'll update the topic with each level gained. I'm doing my best not to stray from the path so any encouragement would be greatly appreciated, along with any constructive criticism or praise for my current strategy.

Wish me luck :D

[Update]
Alright, so since creating this topic I have bailed on this goal and quit Runescape altogether, only to come back again recently. I figured I'd update the main post with the screenies I have throughout the process as well as my new method/plan of attack.

I've had members for almost a month now and have been mostly training Slayer while training strength at the same time. This has resulted in some pretty slow xp, but I plan on sticking to this until 99 most likely. I've also been catching up on quests which has slowed the process even more, although there have been some nice strength xp rewards in some of them. Anyway here are the screenies.

[Final Update]

I did it! After nearly 10 years of Runescaping I finally have my first 99! :D
After a long hiatus of a few years, I started playing again in September and achieved this a few weeks ago!
I trained mostly through Slayer (1-75 since starting this goal) except for levels 98 and 99 when I caved and went to the Security Stronghold to kill some spiders.
Next up is Cooking, which really is insanely fast xp. The week before double XP weekend I went from 94-98 Cooking from Monday-Friday, and that was ~4 hours of playing time each day.
99 Cooking will come either today or tomorrow :P and here are the screenshots of 96-99 Strength!

It might have been your avatar actually. Just had the name 'Prule84' spelled out on the mini-map in fires. I think it was taken west of Lumbridge in RSC. :P

It's weird how you remember random things :^_^;:

I head over there sometimes for a change of scenery. It's a tad bit more crowded and I don't get big bones though, which is why I spend more time in the caves. But it does get boring so like I said I head over there to switch things up :)

P.S. guys, got 84 two days ago and 85 a little while ago today :D, here's a pic.

Best way to get 99 strength? Get P2P and train at the armoured zombies :P.

Failing that, good luck with your goal!

Got another level the other day, but training Slayer at the same time is really slowing this process..

Nice job on 91. Slayer may slow it down but its worth it in the long run.

Got 92 about a week ago. Progress has really started to come to a halt because I recently discovered that Treasure Trails are tons of fun :P I've done a few without incident but the one I'm doing right now requires me to enter the Fishing Guild, so now I'm leveling my fishing to complete the clue!

Anyway here's 92 strength, hopefully I'll be back on track soon.
