"It appears I hadn't noticed bluecoat's initial vote, and Frank should have been up at the chopping block sooner. Oh well, better late than never," the generic town mayor said as he prepared a cauldron full of boiling water. The generic townspeople stormed Frank's house to find Harry Potter robes and various accouterments that he often played with. "If he's really a wizard, he'll float in the cauldron of boiling water," they declared. Frank was thrown over the rim. He floated, and it was determined that he really had some type of mystical powers. "Oh well, he's still dead now".

Frank (B), Warlock, has died a bubbly death.

Night 3 has begun. You have 72 hours to submit any actions.

I concur. We must lynch him now for the sake of the metagame, we MUST teach people that they can't go around claiming "anniversary" and expect leniency. Topsummoner.

"No one has died. That is all."

Day 3 has begun. 10 players remain, 6 votes required for a lynch.

Well I messed up a tad.

Last night, I had all night actions redirected to Lander. I was making a gamble, hoping he was mafia, so that when the cult leader tried to recruit him, the cult leader would die. We clearly do not have a cult leader dead, so that means that Lander has been recruited.

Unfortunately we're not at a point where the cult's size isn't an issue. Including Lander, they have three people now, and four tomorrow. So with a non-cult lynch and a mafia kill tomorrow, that's game over, for the town, for the mafia, for both Team A and C.

Landerpurex.

Assuming Lander did actually get recruited. I'm the Shrink, which is basically an anti-cult doctor. However, I did not make a night action last night, but if I did in fact get redirected, then Lander would not be a cultist.
Interestingly enough, my method of protecting people seems to include tomato juice and mispronounced Harry Potter spells, so I'm guessing Paidea is equating magic with Harry Potter.

If you did not send a PM then your action was not redirected as you had no action to redirect.

I suspected a role like yours existed but I'm very doubtful anyone else has an ability that functions like yours... Looking over my list I do have an action "shrink" but I had thought it actually had to do with shrinking things... Unfortunately, I do not think there are any other JoaT roles out there, so yeah, Lander is definitely cult now.

Steely - why would you doubt there's a role like Tahu's? The first thought I had when I read Tahu's post was that one Kool-Aid drinker was defending another, but what makes you so doubtful that an anti-cult doctor would exist?

No no no, you misread.

I believe Tahu wholly. What I doubt is that there is another role that can function like Tahu's, meaning the chance of Lander being saved from being recruited is very slim.

I probably didn't clarify this as well as I could have, also: One of my fifty abilities is "shrink", which at least in name would confirm Tahu's role. For extra evidence I could ask Paidea about it, but I'd really rather ask about a different ability.

Might as well ask about something else.
I'll defer to Steely's superior lnowledge of the metagame and the finer points of the rules and vote for Lander.

Well, well. It seems I have indeed been recruited, but if you guys know me at all, I don't *want* to be a cultist, I wanna be a townie. And for reference, I was a doctor before I was turned and I've been saving you all along, Steely. Thanks for the love back. :?:

So we can handle this one of two ways. You can lynch me and I can say "LONG LIVE THE CULT", or you can let me live and I can give you the name of our cult leader. I don't wanna die, and I'm certainly not going to play this game as a cultist after playing it as a villager this whole time. Your choice, fellas.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assumed that a conversion to the cult would automatically trump all other allegiances to faction, team, individual options for winning?

Obviously Lander is going to say that it doesn't, so this is mostly directed at everyone else.

Everyone has two win conditions: Either with their faction (Mafia, village, cult, or in Frank's case, self) or with their team (A, B, C). No allegiance to a certain faction or team eliminates the possibility of winning with the other option.

Couple of problems with Lander's offer:
1. Cultist trumps townie. Thus, he can only win with the cult or with his team. Furthermore,
2. It looks like a team win is more likely than a faction win at this point, since team B is basically out of the running.
3. Does Lander actually know the name of the cult leader? If so, he should have gone out and said it.
As for my own position, my vote stays on Lander until he dishes the dirt. Also, additional kudos to him if he can give us the number of cultists at the moment.

best be giving us that name then, lander. and maybe steely can find a sort of "un-recruiting" role.

1. I am no longer part of the village (As far as I understand), but I can still win with my faction.

2. I'm not giving you guys any names until you guys unvote. You lynch the person I say, and if they're not the cult leader, then lynch me. I'll still be part of the cult. Trust me, I know who the cult leader is. And for that matter, why didn't steely see who the leader was? :?:

I don't want to die, and I never asked to be a cultist. As far as I'm concerned, I'm still a townie.

Besides, if you lynch me, then you're back to square one tomorrow when the leader recruits someone else. The numbers will be the same.

You let me live, you stop the cult dead in their tracks. Minus their leader, they can't recruit any more.
